Thomson Airways returns to LDY in 2014 with Lanzarote and Palma.
Seems that both flights will be operated by Air Europa as follows:
Palma 13:00-14:50, LDY 15:40-19:10 (17/05/14-14/10/14)
Lanzarote 07:05-11:10, LDY 12:10-16:30 (29/05/14-02/10/14)
Both seems to have the callsign as (AEA 0000) so still not confirmed if it will be Air Europa doing them!

This summer (2013) those routes from Derry are operated by Thomson on a W pattern with the Belfast based aircraft. Next year, the Belfast based Thomson aircraft has no W patterns (ultimately meaning two extra flights a week from Belfast).
It will be interesting to see what Derry gets instead if it doesn't turn out to be Air Europa as with AEA0000 as flight numners, it doesn't look that definite yet!
It's also interesting to note that Northern Ireland as a whole has a greater choice next summer thanks to the Derry services not being served by a Belfast aircraft.

BE8312 Flybe from BHX on the arrivals board tonight. Possibly the stranded Radio 1 team that were cancelled at LHR earlier?
Also RYR Winter schedule on sale today. Identical to last year except BHX, seems to be down to X3 weekly. No Sunday service

ATC strike really taking it's toll. TOM1472 BFS-ACE is still on the ground at BFS. Running 4hrs behind schedule. TOM807 SSH-BFS that was due at 0205 is delayed til 1735. This will now divert to LDY where it will take the TOM1478 LDY-ACE pax.

Anyone know the reason for the Egyptian flight landing earlier tonight at LDY?
TOM807 18:42 SHARM EL SHEIKH Landed 1844
Edit - Carnmanorlad just realised you mentioned this in your post above.

The Thurs night additional BHX seems to have taken a toll on the LF. A big drop from 75%LF last June to 57%LF for this year.

Thanks Carmanorlad. On those figures, wouldn`t be surprised in Glasgow Prestwick gets the chop. Clearly a 737-800 is too big for the route.
Would be more sustainable if the airport authorities could attract a turboprop operator like Aer Lingus Regional to fly routes to Scotland.
