A drop of roughly 2000 pax on the LPL route. Was it last winter FR operated two flights on Mondays and Saturdays?

Carn any word on that new route you mentioned a while back?

I know November is always a quiet month, but are these figures not very poor for a LCC

Yeah LPL was operated x2 daily on Mon & Sat last Winter.

The new route should come in due course, when it is ready to be announced!

Gazmo, the LF's are quite normal for this time of year and most of EZY's domestic LF's ex BFS are similar.

Those LFs seem alright for the time of year - other than PIK which is low, but it must be working out profitable for Ryanair over the year as a whole, or else they wouldn't keep running it.

I see the airport have replied to someone on Face-Book regarding ALC. They state it will operate July & August and should be on sale early 2013.

Carnmanorlad, you were asked a civil question regarding the new route you "know" about. Son , there's a saying - either take a s&*t or get off the potty.
You're answer to Outhere saying it'll come in due course when it's ready to be announced is frankly pathetic.
It's obvious you heard the rumour which was rattling around the Airport MONTHS ago about Ryanair doing either Barcelona or Reus. It isn't new . By now you're reaching desperation point as the so called announcement you predicted STILL hasn't happened.
What IS a certainty is that one day, in the future, some airline WILL announce a new route or up frequency on an existing route. Do us a favour and don't even attempt to seem all knowing when they do - that ship has long since sailed and you're back standing on the dock watching it go over the horizon.
Take it from someone in a better position than you to comment - If a route is announced soon (And I hope it is) It is only currently being developed. It may well be a route we've long been talking about/wishing for, but it hasn't been sitting under wraps for the length of time you've been droneing on about it.
It isn't the first time you've done this - I thought you would've learned from your last failed attempt at playing mystic meg . It isn't fair to the people who come on here genuinely hoping to hear about a new route. Say what you've heard by all means - it's a rumour network after all - just don't tell half a tale as you're wasting peoples time. AE

AE, your in a better position are you? So who exactly are you - the airport manager?

Yeah i did hear about GRO ages ago as has half of Derry. I didn't post it on here as it wasn't/isn't official but it is good of you to post it here! As i've said previously i have a mate who works at DUB and when i get a chance to chat to him he does pass on any developments. As far as i'm aware there is talks still ongoing about routes. I won't be mentioning what these routes are until confirmed. It does take someone to come on the forum and post otherwise it'd be dead.

I certainly don't come on here to make friends or be patronised by you, oh and so sorry if i waste your time! Also please check your spelling and go easy on the CAPS lock

Maybe worth a mention....

Service Accolade for Derry Airport
City of Derry Airport has become a WorldHost Recognised Business.
Tourism Minister Arlene Foster congratulated the airport for the accolade, which was given after 47 staff were trained in the principles of service. Foster said: "WorldHost recognises that care cuts across all sectors. Every interaction with a customer is significant."

Pet hate alert!

I don't know why people feel the need to correct other's spelling on a forum. It doesn't make the individual look intelligent, especially when their own spelling and grammar are poor. E.g. "your in a better" no, you're, and i instead of I.

It's usually indicative of someone who hasn't got a sufficiently good argument, or more simply, they may just be a... So please refrain from correcting others.

I trust you're being sincere. I've kept up to date with the thread, but have just been feeling rather taciturn of late.

BA have put Derry~Londonderry at No.7 on their top 13 places to visit in 2013, advertising flights to Belfast. It is a shame really that the local airport haven't attracted any new carriers. I guess EI and EZY will jump on the same bandwagon soon?

Was on the Falcon Holidays website and I have noticed that if you change the dates to July it offers Menorca from City Of Derry.

It seems to appear from May to Sept so looks like it will run the usual season if it runs at all. I would say more than likely just an error by falcon.

Build Your Own Holidays - Error!!

If you look at the link it directs to Thomson's web page where Menorca is also listed as a Tuesday departure?
