It happened on Feb 24. Not much of an issue. The autopilot wouldn't engage because the autopilot stab trim was inop.

They declared an emergency because they had to hand fly the airplane.

It's a hard wired independent system, pretty much impossible to hack. I suppose someone could stow away in the avionics compartment and plug in a mic directly to the PA amp.

Delta Tech Ops did a lot of heavy maintenance for Russian airlines, including engine overhaul.
That came to a screeching halt.
It's going to be hard for them to replace that expert maintenance !
