I was more interested in the way the rail appears to have fractured - with little or no bending deformation. Suggests to me rather brittle, low-quality steel in the rail.

More on Herr Flicks tank factory visit. Ironic isn't it, they can't get parts now from the west, which includes the electronics etc, so production has slowed and it is the officials fault because of sanctions imposed of the country due to the poisoned dwarfs actions.. Something has blown up rather spectacularly in st Pete.
Officials have no idea what it was, fontanka.ru says either chemicals/paints or fuel. At least 1000m2 on fire. https://www.fontanka.ru/2022/10/25/71766101/ |

Shame we don't! 1000m2 on fire? Wow. The size of a very small local DIY store. Is burning the local Travis Perkins now a tactical matter then? |
A little harsh there meleagertoo. I have to say that I immediately understood it to be St Petersburg (Russia). The post is supported by photos. It actually looks like more than 1000m2 to me. With other things mysteriously going "bang" in Russian cities of late, it's fair news.

Considering Europe has cut itself off from Russian gas and appears it has no interest in ever again putting itself in the position of being held to ransom by Russia, I cannot fathom Putins desire for this.. who will buy it and fund his war?
omerussia Turkish gas hub - what a replacement for Nord Stream to help Europe solve their Energy CrisisAlvinAlexa10/25/2022 02:03:00 PM0 In mid-October Russia’s President Vladimir Putin proposed to his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan to create a gas hub in his country. Today 25th of October the Turkish Energy Ministry said that Ankara and Moscow had reached an agreement in principle on the gas hub, and the Turkish side had already started doing its part. Let us examine the details of the future project in more detail. The proposal was announced after the sabotage of the Nord Streams, due to which Russia lost the opportunity to sell its energy resources to Europe. The main problem, however, is that the undelivered gas is simply burnt and the gas storage facilities are full. The situation when Russia spend money on producing gas but cannot sell it is detrimental to Russia. That is why the Russian Federation had to find buyers of their gas - those were the same European countries that were left without Russian blue fuel after the terrorist attack. Now the opportunity for the resumption of supplies has been found - it is Turkey. Two branches of the Russian gas pipelines, the Turkish Stream and Blue Stream, have already been laid to Turkey. Russia’s gas is already delivered to Europe via Balkan Stream. The total capacity of the Russian pipelines is about 39 billion cubic meters a year, whereas they lost about 59 billion cubic meters a year to Nord Stream. This loss can only be compensated by building new infrastructure, which is what their president was talking about. |

That occurred to me as well. It looks to me as if it was cut with a disc cutter or military explosive cord?
Don't try breaking one up with a sledge hammer, it will not end well for you  |
