Romanian Navy vessel hit by drifting mine while trying to clear it.
BUCHAREST, Sept 9 (Reuters) - A Romanian Navy dredger hit a drifting mine it was trying to defuse in bad weather on Thursday, but the crew of 75 were unharmed by the explosion, the defence ministry said. Mines began floating in the Black Sea after Russia invaded Ukraine on Feb. 24, and Romanian, Bulgarian and Turkish military diving teams have been defusing those drifting in their waters. The ministry said the ship was alerted about a mine drifting about 25 nautical miles northeast from the Romanian Black Sea port of Constanta, but couldn't defuse before being hit by it because of high winds and waves. https://www.reuters.com/world/europe...ea-2022-09-08/ picture of the ship prior to the accident: |

Looking like Solovyev may have had a damned good beating, now that would be good to see on his show.

Maybe an e-cigarette blew up in his face? Smoking is proving to be dangerous.

These Russians all look the same to me…..
Seriousl, identity not confirmed, just speculation at the moment. Meanwhile… Is Russia now so short of manpower that it simply can't defend strategically vital areas near Kharkiv? A fascinating spot by @ItsArtoir (go follow him!) suggests this might be the case, and suggests some major discontent in the Russian army. A short 🧵 follows. |

That was the identification I posted earlier but deleted as it was a false id. It was confirmed as a colonel lieutenant, not the lieutenant general.
