Impressive…..

US approve another military package for Ukraine worth 400 million USD. It includes:

- 250 units of M1117
- 1100 units of Phoenix Ghost drones
- MIM-23 Hawk air defense systems
- 40 armored boats
- 45 T-72 MBTs

The Pentagon says today that US is paying for the Czech defense industry to refurbish 45 T-72 tanks to be delivered to Ukraine and Netherlands is paying for another 45. Those 90 tanks will "the most advanced on the battlefield" dept. press secretary Sabrina Singh says

They couldn’t even get the year correct, by the winter of 2023 he will have been mobilised and be dying in some ****hole trench defending the outskirts of Moscow.
Meanwhile his cooker will have packed up long ago due to the lack of Western spares to pump the gas from the refinery, and his Internet will be cut off from the West forcing him too listen to Margarita Simonyan on the only radio station still permitted, telling them all they will be better dead than happy.

In a war? I would rather use it than examine it.

Really langley ? A hell of a lot better to get more Himars - or ATACMS if it's sufficiently highly valued - in a swap. Hugely more valuable than one more tank.

I agree,to study it is to learn it’s weak points and introduce work arounds that far outweigh the operational effect of one tank and it aids you being able to kill others of the type with your current fleet.. All I can think is they maybe captured more than one, and the other was kept quiet and whisked away to interested parties..

Very interesting point that General Hodges makes about the "weaponization of refugees" at about minute 26.
See also at about minute 32 "Russia has a China problem"
TF, thank you for that link/video.

De nada. hombre. It hadn't immediately occurred to me, but there might be a direct link to the Poland/Kaliningrad fence there.

There has been a lot of posts about Russian concrete bunkers being placed in Kherson on both the left & right bank of the Dnipro river.

In this 🧵we will examine Russia's "Concrete theater" against some hard reality taken from this US Army Engineer branch technical report.

It really is astonishing to witness the degree of disconnect between Russian public announcements and the hilarity that their nonsense will be met with in the West. If they could see it, would these fools cringe, or would decades of "Russia is Great " propaganda have destroyed all critical faculties ? Personally, I think the lines about " they will soon come to Russia because there will be nothing to eat in Europe " as the most humorous and insightful.

Might be difficult to get its current crew/ troop/ regiment to give it up though!

.

Yes, I noticed that when I was S Met O 1BR Corps.

However, military history is rich with examples of units holding non-inventory items, it certainly would not be the first time that the chain of command was kept in the dark, or turned a blind eye.
One account I recently read is of a Mountain battery, British India, with a complete "spare gun", brand new, built from indented parts, and hidden from inspection awaiting the day it was needed against Japan.

In the current case, if I were CO regiment fighting for survival, I might take a short term view The analogy is a Conqueror among Centurions and a Firefly among Shermans.
The Bde commander [or however UKR organises] needs to know about the trophy to issue what would be a very sensible order.

What really is astonishing is the naiivety of people who swallow this guff and don't recognise its reality as pure propaganda!

You know, there are plenty of people on "our side" who swallow similar nonsense. Plenty

CNN: 1,300 Starlinks in Ukraine go offline due to funding issues.

Ukraine’s fears that its military will lose access to the Starlink internet service deepened after 1,300 satellite units went offline, CNN reported, citing two anonymous sources familiar with the issue.
