I understood that the dambuster raid was mostly to disrupt the German manufacturing capabilities.

The dam in this case was apparently struck to hinder the Ukrainain army crossing the river downstream

Finnish made PASI APCs have appeared to the front line.
A convenient feature for Ukrainians is the readily installed frame for 12,7mm NSV machine gun. They should have plenty of those available for installation.

The amount of stuff the crews have just walked away from is staggering, all left in running order and not even booby trapped.

Sweet: AVIATION CONTENT

Orcs are taking revenge against their commanders by leaving vehicles & weapons
I wonder its more a case of them wanting to stymie any chance of them being redployed anytime soon?

Aviation content that probably interests everyone here, i.e. how the AGM-88 is mounted on MIG-29

Provocative…

At a rough guess, Russia abandoned a mechanized division worth of fighting vehicles, a reinforcing brigade's worth of artillery, and between a fifth and a third of it's artillery shell reserves in Ukraine behind in the Kharkiv Oblast.

The Russian government is administering an across-the-board cut of 10% in budgetary expenses. This is in reaction to a larger-than-expected decline of fiscal revenues over the summer (a deficit of close to 1.5 trillion rubles). This is likely only the first step.…

Looks like a Russian base near the border has suffered from careless smokers.

From the New York Times today: pay site, but some free access allowed (well worth the cost IMHO). https://www.nytimes.com/live/2022/09...ne-russia-war?
A mass burial ground with about 440 individual graves has been found in Izium in the days since the city, in Ukraine’s northeast, was reclaimed from Russian forces in a lightning offensive last week, a senior Ukrainian police official told Sky News on Thursday.

Serhii Bolvinov, the head of the investigative department of the regional police force in Kharkiv, said the bodies would be exhumed and forensically examined as part of an investigation into whether Russian forces committed war crimes during their occupation.

President Volodymyr Zelensky of Ukraine confirmed the discovery of the grave site in his nightly address on Thursday, saying “there should be more information, clear, verified information” after journalists visit the city on Friday.

“We want the world to know what is really happening and what the Russian occupation has led to,” he said, adding: “Russia leaves death everywhere. And it must be held accountable for that.”

Dzokhar Dudayev and his warning about Russia in 1995, he predicted the war in Ukraine long ago.

Baza reports that >8 prison transport trucks are transporting 400 prisoners in Tambov to a training area in southern Russia (possibly Wagner’s base in Molkino) likely before going to Ukraine. They say 10-12 prison trucks were seen in Belgorod last night.

A very prescient explanation of Russism which exactly blueprints what Putin is doing now. The Chechen president should have been well listened to by the West.

A few modifications and they'll be able to use the same trucks to take them away again.
