Condolences to the family of Staff Sargent Abbott and others affected. Agree with Nutloose and CONSO's comments
So after a 24 hour grace and reflection may I ask Nutty to pop up a picture suitable some time around 06.00z on Monday ?
Thanks
K

It's Conso's turn he won fair and square, just let him pick another, I was hesitant in mentioning it, but I just felt uncomfortable, I try like hell to avoid pics where people died...

Don't feel bad Conso, you were not to know, I only did because I read an article in flypast years ago about one like this (if not it ) returning to base and they reported hearing a deathly moaning howl from it long before they saw it.

pop up another

There's probably been a few caption photos where someone has come to grief in the subject. This one was just more easily traceable.

On a lighter vein

I'm sure someone can come up with something better than ' dont touch that yellow handle '

In an act of remarkable airmanship not only did Navigator Flying Officer Bloggs manage to exactly locate his pilot with pin point precision, but also whilst flying at low level over familiar terrain, managed to locate both the front of the aircraft and also the direction of travel, for this he is awarded a green endorsement.

CONSO
You need not apologise CONSO. It's the nature of the industry that there is inherent risk & we can't all be aware of the circumstance of the images we use. Once pointed out, preferably by PM, then it's up to the individual to wrap it up as they see fit.

When you think about it, a lot of the Military images will have content that have one specific and deadly purpose! Hell, even I put up pics of the Glorious Leader & I wonder how many have died at his command...

Just after this picture was taken....On a Tornado last flight, 617 reenactment of the Dam busters Raid by attacking Kielder Dam goes well, right up till Farmer John takes out his 12 bore and shoots at the aircraft for sheep worrying
