CONSO has no need to apologize.

He took a photo that is in the public domain....very often with no background information whatsoever.

He did not denigrate, diminish or in anyway speak ill of the lost man, the crew, the unit, the War, or anything like that.

I posted a reply...after studying the photo and thinking to myself what a miracle the aircraft survived such damage.

Also....I knew in my heart there had been casualties and as it turned out fewer than I had thought likely.

That did not prevent me from making post here in CapCom and I surely have a reputation for standing up for Veterans, Casualties, and those who serve of any nation.

If I posted the photo of my last Chinook in Vietnam on my second tour....I would enjoy any humorous post made about it despite my having been wounded during the event that caused the damage to it.

If I knew how to post it....I would offer it up should I ever win the Trophy again and let ya'll have fun with it.

Lord knows....I have made some myself in the past.

The photo taken of the CO's Nav resulted in an interesting Annual Evaluation for both Nav's.

I’ve engaged the Grace L Ferguson Airline and Stormdoor company to Air Express it to you with their steam powered Executive TravelAir Biplane.

Delivery date a bit uncertain as the spring loaded Airspeed indicator on the inboard strut needs recalibration . .

The Travel Air 2000/3000/4000 (originally, the Model A, Model B and Model BH[1] and later marketed as a Curtiss-Wright product under the names CW-14, Speedwing, Sportsman and Osprey), were open-cockpit biplane aircraft produced in the United States in the late 1920s by the Travel Air Manufacturing Company. During the period from 1924–1929, Travel Air produced more aircraft than any other American manufacturer, including over 1,000 biplanes (some estimates range from 1,200 to nearly 2,000)Steam-powered

In 1933 a Travel Air 2000 was modified by George and William Besler where the usual inline or radial gasoline piston engine was replaced by an oil-fired, reversible 90° angle V-twin angle-compound engine of their own design, which became the first fixed-wing airplane to successful fly using a steam engine of any type

Pres Trump in an untypical act of humility considers what he might learn from great historical leaders. After many minutes of painful thought, he turns his attention to Churchill and decides to take up smoking cigars.

What a pleasant surprise! Conso's Air Freight Shipment arrived by a very slow flight. Not a Caption......"My Claim to Flame!".

Sorry for the size....perhaps someone can shrink it a bit.
