"The lack of pedals proved to be a problem. The first prototype, which required the pilot's wedding tackle to be strapped directly to the tail rotor control bar (see photo), was a total failure, due to the pilot's lack of ability to wag his own tail left/right. However, the second prototype, which was modified for up/down control, reportedly worked much better."

Proof positive that the only elegant way to aviate is to rush-down-concrete and gently ease oneself in to the air ... anything else is just brutally bashing physics in to submission
