Ultranate.....sorry to tell you buddy, but no you won't get all the way. You will probably get through the eliminations on the ACTUAL assessment day.....but as soon as your file is sent back to HR Headquarters.....they will catch on and inform you of this.
So sorry, but this is what they are like. I personally would suggest that you leave it be and wait the 6 months and then re-apply. Don't stress, we are getting a new aircraft every month for the next 3years......so we will DEFINATELY be needing more crew. You will probably find that they will be back in your area recruiting every couple of months.
Hope this helps.....

Tonight, at 21:38 UAE time, I sent my CV and pictures via email to the cabin crew recruitment team. It took me ten weeks to perfection my CV, take professional pictures, etc.
I feel relieved already.....but so excited and worried at the same time!! In fact I cannot sleep though I will have to be up in 5 hours for my double flight tomorrow....a lovely LGW-BOD-LGW-AMS-LGW = 10hrs 40 mins
Now the waiting game.....if anybody is in the same situation, please don't be shy and talk to me
Good night

has anyone been invited to the PER interviews? I know its a walk in and I know someone has probably already asked, but just wondering. I have been to 3 EK assessment days, invited to one ( in which I got through to finals) and was kinda hoping I'd get invited again. I hate walk-ins...too many people, too long sitting around...only to be told that we'll get a call if we are successful.

Hey Craic, I haven't been invited, but I decided to go this time just to see what happens and also to meet up with anyone from last time, also to console those that don't get in
Are you going? If you are we should meet up, would be nice to put a face to the name!
And I think you should go for it, from what I remember you have industry exp and you sound like a nice person, so go for it. Better to have tried and failed than never to have tried at all.... maybe this time is your lucky day! =)

hey skysista...tried to send you a pm but your mailbox is full let me know when i can try again and i'll give you my phone number and we can go together. I would post it up here but I am not quite sure I trust everybody on this site hehe (no offence guys)
And I put the same out to anyone else in perth that would maybe like to meet up to go to the assessment together day this Saturday. I know there are lots of us that have been before and that chat on this forum so it would be great to put faces to names! Plus its more motivating if anything right? Send a PM and we'll arrange it

Good luck Moxie and everyone else going tomorrow!
If anyone else here besides Craic (Hannah) will be going to the Sheraton Perth tomorrow, look out for me (I'll be wearing a brown jacket with a red-pattern scarf, I have brown hair (wearing up) and Craic tells me she's quite tall
I'm a tad on the skinny side, so look for the not-short-but-not-tall girl with the chicken legs
See you there people and good luck!

Hi everyone,
Im only new to this but Ive been reading all your posts and they are so full of useful info.
Im in the waiting game like you guys but in a different way. I had an interview with EK in January and didnt make it so I cant reapply again until July. The wait is killing me!
I currently GF crew so Im lucky that Im nice and close to Dubai and occasionally get to stay there (for 12 hrs! ha ha). Its a great place, I love it.
Look forward to chatting with you guys in the future

Good luck everyone going to the OD today!!!
I am sure you'll do great. Come back with a job and lots of info!!
I couldn't believe it last night when, after only 6 days since sending the application form online, I received an email inviting me to an interview at the end of the month!!! I am so honoured, it is already a lot for me just to have received that email!!
I guess it's just a matter of killing time and try to prepare myself as much as practically possible now!!!
I am so nervous/excited cannot sleep!! Day 3 of 7 on tomorrow.... But at least I'll see the sun hiding behind those horrible gray british clouds!!!
Take care everybody and good luck, my thoughts are with you!

Brief summary of PER Open Day:
Recruiters: Amelita (again) no Danni (maybe in AKL? i feel sorry for you guys! ... just kidding... but lots of people who had been before were saying "have you seen if Danni's here yet?!" and looking around nervously.... :P
Met Craic, who is so lovely in person. EK are just so dumb not to hire her, she really would do a great job with them.
A few people in casual clothes (again)
LOTS of guys (SydEY, I looked for the two you mentioned but it was so hard to talk to everyone.
Lots from over East;
a couple of guys from the Gold Coast
Mark from Melbourne
Gil from CNS
If you are here, hello!!
Basically, Amelita repeats the speil about "this is only information day, don't call us we'll call you" etc etc
Videos (not the one with 'magical' repeated every 10 seconds though). One about crew training and the one about crew singing and stuff.
Called up one by one to front of room to hand in CV and a survey sheet about how you heard of position etc, any comments, suggestions about EK.... blah blah....
Sit down and recruiter asks things about CV, mine she asked me about what do I do now for work and what sort of company are they.
There were two groups, about 100 in each. So only half that as last time.
Amelita did say they'd be in Syd and Mel in the next few months guys, so get ready!

skysista you're a sweetheart hehe :)
Hey everyone,
Well wasn't so sure again about the PER open day. Lots of waiting as skysista said. Only 20 seconds to talk to the recruiters and then hand over the resume to await the call. Was convinced I wouldn't get it...but I did.... yay
I have got my foot through the door again and I am really excited! I was saying to the girls today that it is soooo hard to tell the recruiters how much I am dedicated to getting a job with EK.
I have found the career of my dreams, (I hate being on the ground so much!) and to fly with an airline that I truely admire would be amazing. But everyone says the same thing, whether they mean it or not. I think I could burst into tears just thinking about working onboard as EK crew. How do you tell them that without looking like your crazy lol!
I will give it my best shot, thats all i can do. If they could see how much I want this position, then that is what will get me through this time.
Good luck to everyone that has the chance to go back, and for those that didnt get the cal...don't give up! I nearly didnt go today. Look what i would have missed out on.
Remember as a wise person once said, shoot for the moon - if you miss, you'll still be amongst the stars!

congrats craic1510 on the call back!! hope the second part goes well!! of course let us know how you get on!
So i was at the open day in AKL, Kim (she was here in JAn too and is from NZ) and Sonia i think i was were the recruits. Again to many people so they split us into two groups. those standing had to return in a few hours. watched 3 vids then question/answer time. some people asked so silly questions and showed they hadn't researched the airline. I was surprised how many people came in jeans etc when the ad said business attire!
Then we handed in our cvs and were all told to keep our phones on and they would call us back if they wanted to see us today (Sunday). didn't get the call
there was one other girl there who i recognized from the Jan interviews who had got further than me last time, so both our 6months waiting time wasn't up, but I'm wondering if she got called back again this time?
But of well i will keep on trying.
Good luck to those of you who got the call

up-to-date info?
Does anyone have any up-to-date info on the assessment days? My last one was over a year ago and I am presuming that they would change the group exercises and interview questions etc.
Can anyone that has been to a recent interview shed some light -as I am going for mine tomorrow and I really want to be prepared
Thanks in advance

I'm going to an assesment day at the end of the month in london and was wondering the same, but for me it will be the first time with EK so I haven't got a clue of what's going to happen!!
I also wonder if they have the same group exercises etc for everybody in the world or if they have different ones in different countries
Anyway, I am sorry I cannot be of any help, but I can wish you good luck and will keep my fingers crossed for you!!

Hey Craic,
I couldn't tell ya about anything after the 1st group exercise, if I'd thought of it I could have asked C when I saw her on Wednesday, d'oh!!
Oh well, I'm sure SOMEONE here will know something!!!
Was it just me, or did that Rhonda lady stare a lot? Really freaked me out! She was just staring at my hands while I was talking to her!

As for Rhonda, yeah she did stare a little. she was quite intimidating actually. I just have to remember to maintain eye contact and stay calm/smile.
