The southern hemisphere part of a big country.
Nuvver clew ? |
Wot a shot.
Also known as Salisbury. Your throttles. :ok: |
Do I see what is/was a go-kart track ?
|
I don't follow rugby but it's Llandow and open house. Was a satellite of St Athan (hence the 'L' type hangars) and there was a taxiway between the 2 airfields.
Kart (NOT go-kart) circuit and main circuit for other race cars. |
|
Sorry can't quite make out the name you haven't photo-shopped out!
|
But I don't think it's the name that's why.
|
It's next to the station circle which is the normal place. Take a look at satellite photos of Halton; there it's actually in the circle.
|
Start of a King`s Cup air race..Hatfield...?
|
Not racing - go north.
|
I know you said that you don't think the name next to the station circle is the name of the airfield, but that doesn't say 'Ringway' does it?
|
Could it be Liverpool during the grand national at Aintree?
SLB |
Morning all.
Not Ringway but Liverpool is getting close, but a little too far north. |
If you mean Pendeford you need to go east and a tad north.
Another clue if needed. |
Chester aka Hawarden
|
From Pendeford I suggested going east not west.
|
Does anyone need a clue ?

Open House! NB Credit to www.ukairfieldguide.net which has 4 superb piccys taken in 1935; dook's picture I would guess was taken at the 1937 airshow as it shows HP 42 'Heracles'. |
Well found.
