The southern hemisphere part of a big country.

Nuvver clew ?

dook 12th Nov 2018 17:02

Also known as Salisbury.

Do I see what is/was a go-kart track ?

chevvron 12th Nov 2018 19:22

I don't follow rugby but it's Llandow and open house. Was a satellite of St Athan (hence the 'L' type hangars) and there was a taxiway between the 2 airfields.
Kart (NOT go-kart) circuit and main circuit for other race cars.

Dunno how some of you chaps find these.

Rolling...….

Sorry can't quite make out the name you haven't photo-shopped out!

dook 12th Nov 2018 20:16

But I don't think it's the name that's why.

chevvron 12th Nov 2018 20:19

It's next to the station circle which is the normal place. Take a look at satellite photos of Halton; there it's actually in the circle.

Start of a King`s Cup air race..Hatfield...?

dook 12th Nov 2018 20:59

Not racing - go north.

jensdad 12th Nov 2018 22:41

I know you said that you don't think the name next to the station circle is the name of the airfield, but that doesn't say 'Ringway' does it?

Could it be Liverpool during the grand national at Aintree?

Morning all.

Not Ringway but Liverpool is getting close, but a little too far north.

dook 13th Nov 2018 08:52

If you mean Pendeford you need to go east and a tad north.

Another clue if needed.

sycamore 13th Nov 2018 09:09

Chester aka Hawarden

dook 13th Nov 2018 09:27

From Pendeford I suggested going east not west.

dook 13th Nov 2018 11:02

Does anyone need a clue ?

Not unLeice(ster) you wish to give us one (aka 'Ratcliffe'; the name next to the circle)
Open House!
NB Credit to www.ukairfieldguide.net which has 4 superb piccys taken in 1935; dook's picture I would guess was taken at the 1937 airshow as it shows HP 42 'Heracles'.

dook 13th Nov 2018 13:29

Well found.

OH
