That's the one! Busiest in the summer with visitors for the fishing and boating but quite a few aircraft based here. Only one Cessna arrival when I took the pics about 4 weeks ago.
Dook has control.

dook 25th Oct 2019 19:15

It took me long enough but Californyay ain't exactly small.

And why was I the only person playing.

condor17 25th Oct 2019 19:34

SLB , in your post 17513 . Any idea 'wot CF-FDD , bottom right is ? Has the look of a 2 seat Hurricane about it , with 3 bladed prop . Wing and dihedral incorrect 'tho.
Or is it shodowed 2 blade and similar to the Cornell ? reg. unreadable above FDD ?

rgds condor .

dook 25th Oct 2019 19:34

This one might be easier.

Asturias56 26th Oct 2019 08:05

A tentative question - UK?

condor17 26th Oct 2019 09:58

Tarrant Ruston ? But probably not hilly enough .

rgds condor .

dook 26th Oct 2019 10:33

It's not Tarrant Rushton either, but it is UK.

vulcanite 26th Oct 2019 11:51

Long Marston, near Stratford-upon-Avon?

dook 26th Oct 2019 12:34

It's not Long Marston to be sure.

sycamore 26th Oct 2019 20:16

To be sure, Nutt`s Corner,NI....?

dook 26th Oct 2019 20:18

It is indeed Norn Oirland, but not Nutts Corner.

You are 7nm away.

I will go for RAF Maghaberry based on following photo:

dook 26th Oct 2019 20:37

Good shooting bear.

Maghaberry is now a prison.

Your tee.

That is the essence of the game!

dook 26th Oct 2019 21:06

I posted that before you posted the photo.

10/10 for humour though.

dook 26th Oct 2019 21:13

That is almost certainly UK.

Self loading bear 26th Oct 2019 21:21

Yes and they have icecream to stay cool in the flight Centre.

Bear,

A PM for you.

mustbeaboeing 26th Oct 2019 21:51

Eastchurch Isle of Sheppy
Open House if correct

Self loading bear 26th Oct 2019 22:07

MbaB,

welcome back
please try again Eastchurch is not the place to be.

dook 27th Oct 2019 10:33

I have found this photograph. The green control building looks the same.

Caption says Bagby.

What are you on today Bear ?

You gave me control at post #17626.

sycamore 28th Oct 2019 13:28

Possibly in Italy...?

dook 28th Oct 2019 13:30

Not possibly - definitely.

jensdad 28th Oct 2019 23:36

The countryside looks very flat, and is that the sea in the background? South coast of Sicily perhaps?

dook 29th Oct 2019 09:23

Mainland Italy.

Not the sea in the background.

Shackman 29th Oct 2019 13:08

One of the airfields in the Foggia complex?

dook 29th Oct 2019 13:10

It is indeed. :)

Shackman 29th Oct 2019 13:16

Pantanella?

dook 29th Oct 2019 13:17

Keep going.....

Shackman 29th Oct 2019 13:22

Seeing as at least 10 airfields of the Foggia complex were home to USAAF B-24's (and one to RAF B-24's) I'll have one more guess - San Giovanni. If correct, Open House; if incorrect someone else can find/guess one of the others! However, if you have a better pic of the tail insignia..................

dook 29th Oct 2019 13:25

The challenge is south of your two suggestions.

There is available on the web a map of all the airfields.

Would you like a close-up of the tail markings ?

Shackman 29th Oct 2019 13:25

Yes Please
