Nice place to be mate. It's dull and damp here.

WTFO HD? I am bored here today, so might resort to more doodling.

TC - pm received with thanks.

Hello chaps, sorry for the delay. Here's something which is a little different (for me). Its a piccy I took myself two days ago while on a walk with my dog. What is it?

Thats the one! It must be better known than I thought. I'd never heard of it until I googled the reggie, it was G-BWCY

Thanks HD....there's actually quite a lot of them around. The tail is the most distinctive feature (for me anyway).

Will have something for you shortly....just finishing off some work I need to get out.

Could that be a car engine with a toothed belt reduction drive 'under the bonnet', and inlet and exhaust scoops for a radiator in the rear fuselage?

It is indeed a car engine... I am not sure about the reduction gear...it certainly looks like that but I cannot find any detailed reference to it. As for the scoops....whereas they are on the 3-view I have found a picture of an aircraft without them. I don't know what their purpose is or whether the type of engine affects the need for them?

G'day Ken.

I'm a tad pissed and feeling a little down mate. My mum's house is officially on the market as from today...and it hurts.

Seriously, if that's possible after what I've drunk, you really should start a thread on "Cub" look-a-likes. I'd reckon there'd be close to fifty imposters...

Hi Graeme...been there and its not easy. Unfortunately its a step you have to make.

you really should start a thread on "Cub" look-a-likes
Already working on it! Am up to 45 so far, and thats genuine look-a-likes, so not including the likes of Taylorcraft etc. So watch out....and brush up on 'em!

Cheers

Good morning Ken.

I don't think it looks like a Cub at all, so I'm going down other roads.

Couldn't get on line last evening because our telephone lines are down.

Hi David

It certainly doesn't fall into my 45 aircraft category but I reckon from a distance it could easily be mistaken for one, particularly without those scoops.

Couldn't get on line last evening because our telephone lines are down
Figured you had been unusually quiet. Presume you're at work now or are the lines fixed?

Clue's soon, if no one gets there first!
