I'm struggling with the age of this one. It looks old, yet the undercarriage seems not to have struts or skids. The wings tips are odd as well....I'm wondering if they are that shape or whether the tips are actually vertical (if you see what I mean). The wings seem very long like a motor glider, but that could just be the perspective.
Good evening gentlemen.
This aeroplane was built and did fly, and was a one-off. It was not German.
Its' maiden flight was 1924, and it was built for the military.
It had a 12hp engine and was woefully underpowered.
It was rarely flown since inexperienced pilots could not get it off the ground.
It must go tonight so more clues shortly.

LM listening out.

Evening guys,
I'm flummoxed too, but thinking it's between the Wars, maybe a "sporting monoplane" or yes, a powered glider (with vertical endplates to the wing), there's a lot of those pictured hanging in museums, but they're not very well indexed, so it means a lot of trawling!!

Adaridi AD.3?
Designed by Russian engineer Boris Adaridin whilst living in Finland. The Finnish Air Force ordered one. It was stationed at Utti air force base from 1924 until 1931, and is now hung in the Finnish aviation museum.

Dunno how you did that Ton, but you are correct.
Here's the next one. Not a silhouette I'm afraid.
Ton.
Ton,
We no longer say "simple" here.
We say "seemples".
Go Google - www.comparethemeerkat.com.
My name is Alexander. Seemples.
Better still, Google videos compare the meerkat and check out YouTube.
