Thanks Graeme, wouldn't have got it without the clues...apparently it had a theoretical range of 45,000 km...could have done the first unrefueled round the world flight!

Here's something that definitely did not have that kind of range!

That didn't last long.....yes, its the Lesher Nomad.

I found it whilst looking for the Bede....amazingly it had a number of speed and endurance records, including a straight line distance of 1,835 miles in 1975 for a piston engined aircraft weighing in at under 500 kgs.

Over to you David.

Sorry HD, it isn't.

I am trying to stay in the true tradition of a silhouette.

Ken, PM waiting.

Should it have diagonal struts outboard to the upper wing, LM, or is it 'as shown'?

The closest I can find, thought I think it is wrong as the hull looks different, is one labelled '100hp Curtiss'

Not an Aeromarine or Curtiss I'm afraid.

The original photograph is exactly as you see it, with the exception of the brightness and contrast being changed to make it a silhouette.

There are four struts per side. The bracing wires don't show.

I can post an untouched photograph of it not airborne if anyone wants.
