G'day Ken! How are ya mate? Where have ya been?
Antonov LEM-2
I was flicking through an encyclopaedia saying "nope..nope..nope.." and I said nope to the LEM-2 as well.

Hope you're a winner mate. Speaking of which...

Nice to be missed! Decided to give it a break for a while in part as I am not really into identifying aircraft from their undecarriage legs etc! Also had (and still have) a lot of work on so SC had to take backstage for a while.

Caught some of the snooker final last night here....bit of a scrappy game at times, but the best man won! Will this revitalise the game down under?

You have it Ken It is the Antonov LEM-2 OKA-33. Thanks Graeme for the photograph of the aircraft.
Will this revitalise the game down under?
Allegedly Higgins is doing his best to do the opposite here. BBC News - John Higgins suspended in snooker bribe probe

Wasn't the SB2C something quite different
He was quite correct the Curtiss SB2C was the Helldiver of course.
Perhaps I was a little hasty in accepting Richard's answer however as he identified that two aircraft had been delivered to Germany and that Ernst Udet was involved. I assumed that he was referring to the Curtis export Hawk II.
Udet had been so impressed with the demonstrations of dive-bombing with of the aircraft that he had the German Air Ministry buy two Hawk IIs to introduce dive bombing tactics in Germany.

Didn't the D1 have unequal span wings?

There aren't many unbraced biplanes around, so I'm now thinking it's a Yank.

All it has are cabane struts.

Hi LM....don't bother looking at Aerofiles, its not from the US.

And you're right about the Zeppelin having unequal span wings.

We haven't actually ruled out Germany yet have we?

There are a couple of interesting looking aeroplanes in the background, but Photoshop is only helping a little....
