Sorry mate but it doesn't look like a BI-1!
Actually I see that there were a number of subtle differnces in different machines so maybe it is!

I'm afraid I have to correct you on your latest challenge, LM.

Bereznyakov-Isaev BI-1
I think that should read Berezhnyak-Isaev BI-1.

Thanks David. The canopy looked different to what I have, but couldn't think of anything else.

Found this on the net...

Failed to locate your web source but, from descriptions the Michelson/Nikitin Mu-4 or a Shavrov product would appear to be candidates

Two wheel/ski amphibians within 4 days ?

Evening Graeme,

I've searched pretty hard for your elusive amphibian during work breaks today, but I have to agree with one11, it does look like the Mikhelson/Nikitin Mu-4 trainer flying boat.

This is all I could turn up, but it seems to fit the bill.

MU-4 and MU-5 flying boats by N.G.Mikhelson/V.V.Nikitin

I'd say well done one11

Nicely done Doug and Sinco. I have it as the Nikitin MU-4 trainer. It's 0630 hrs here and I'm heading for work.

Your control Doug.

Cheers,
Graeme.

Morning one11,

Variable incidence?? Is it the Cornelius LW-1 ?

The only photo I found is similar but the cowling and windshield vary slightly.

Coffe time over now, so back to work 'til one o'clock.
