Certainly looks a cross between a German aircraft and a Lockheed aircraft. The engines look like DB 603s similar to those used on the D 217N. Are those bomb doors under the nose?

Sorry, not from Amiot, Dornier, nor Lockheed. The aircraft was based on a bomber, but this aircraft is not a bomber.

Yes, it is based on the Piaggio P.32, but built by another airframe manufacturer.

Yes, Mel, the Caproni Reggiane Ca.405 Procellaria, built specifically for the Istres-Damascus-Paris Air Race of 1937. Although the Ca.405 did not participate in the air race, the Italians won handily. Your turn.

Bonsoir Richard
You have it. It is indeed a Curtiss Hawk II, D-316, supplied to Germany for evaluation.
You have control.

It was a Russian aircraft but not the Tcheravnovski Bitch 14 ,(TsKB-10) as RR states that was a twin. Will be off line for a couple of hours, catch you later.
