I'm not sure I'd want to sit between those meat cutters! RR

It must have been "dicey" when five people were sitting there!

That's novel.

It doesn't appear to have a tail rotor either, but I can't make out coaxial rotors either!

Looks like it's "here we go again".

Nicely spotted mate! There's a jet engine on each side and the rudder operates in the jet exhaust. They also drove air compressors forcing air out of the rotor tips..(Sorry for the mouse drawn engine quality)...

I was hoping to have this solved before going to bed, so...

The company responsible for this helicopter was founded by Maurice Ramme in 1953. It went through a number of design changes and the next model after this one was the final version and named after something that can operate on land, water and in the air...

The US Patent 4589611 - Air jet reaction contrarotating rotor gyrodyne?? Is that what is referred to as a Monte-copter? Logic would say that it is the Monte-copter 14, or if he missed out some numbers, the 12. RR

LM, I think the Tri-phibian was a later development. This one doesn't have the floats etc

Thanks mate... and I guess your counting kangaroos by now... Anyway, this might last till you wake!!! Keeping with the rotary theme. Note that the rotors were equal in length, shape etc. I just had some drawing issues!!!! Good luck!!! RR
Apologies also that this isn't a "silhouette". I'll get there .....

I think it's a Hiller HJ-1, but does etiquette mean we should wait for Noyade?
