Greetings Noyade...welcome back from your travels.
Its not the model 4000 Aerostar....and is not an Aerostar product.
The design is from the 1980's. In light of the suggestions regarding the Foxjet, I should point out that this is not an early VLJ design...this aircraft was to seat from 6 to 8 passengers and was more in the Cessna 500 Citation category.

As it is all very quiet and 2 days have now gone by, time for another clue:
The manufacturer has a connection not only with the Ted Smith Aerostar but also with the Beech Bonanza.

American Aviation Inc?
Or Machen Inc?
Don't know anything. Just guessing!

Machen "Laser Jet".

Sblatnic...in that case some good guessing....the would-be manufacturer is Machen. The connection with the Ted Smith Aerostar is that Machen produced a modification/upgrade for it known as the Machen Superstar, of which there are quite a few around. Similarly they turned their attention to the Beech Bonanza with a modification known as the Machen Turbo 350 Bonanza.
This exec jet was their first home grown design. So can anyone come up with a name?

Our messages crossed....it is indeed the Machen LaserJet. Designed in 1983/1984, it was aimed at the small/medium exec jet market, powered by Garrett turbofans.
Well done Sablatnic...you have control (and you don't even like jets!)

Thanks, RR.
Sorry for the delay. Had a bit of problems with my browser. Changed to Firefox. Did the trick.

By the way. I am not against jets, just like small piston things better.
Wonder if Skytrain has all the old copies of Flight International.

Never got Flight International...over priced and over rated in my view! Incidentally the LaserJet 3-view was off the web.
Now I had better think about your offering, albeit that it is from an era that is certainly not my area of expertise!

Hmmm....Looks like it was built for the Engineering Division but manufactured by the Packard Motor Company? And somewhere in there is Captain Le Pere?
So, locking my answer in now as possibly the Packard-Le Pere LUSAC-11?
Cheers,
Graeme.

That is the one. You have control.

Early draft for the DC4e?
Hi sablatnic! Sorry for logging in and out but it's this and James Bond in "Golden Eye" on the telly. Love the Bond movies but not the Daniel Craig ones.
This project planned to be more economical than the DC-4 and to be made of wood. For control, all I want is the manufacturer that designed it. Very famous company.
