Not in it's entirety, however this is the statement from the DAMP Q&A. Meaning you must disclose any medication that 'could' impair your abilities or show positive on a test, and of course the company will then have a record of such.

You also have a responsibility to advise your DAMP supervisor or manager if you are taking any medications which could affect your fitness for SSAA duties, or if it contains a testable substance.
Therefore your company will have a record of such medications, if not CASA/AvMed will. Considering almost all medications have a side effect then you are walking a fine line not to disclose anything that you are taking and propose to work with. And even common cold and flu tablets can result in positive tests, so you would have to seek at least a DAMEs advice on whether something is aviation compatible, company advice on whether it will show on DAMP. Not leaving much options to keep it a secret.

PS having seen and know a few pilots and ground crew that have lost their jobs over DAMP, I would not play with the system, it bites pretty hard and the Union backs away from you very fast.

There are very few medications that are compatible with flying that will cause a false positive on DAMP. Pseudoephedrine/ďSudafedĒ is the famous one - but the argument has always been that if you need to take it, you are probably taking it to mask symptoms that are incompatible with flying, so you should be staying home anyway.

If you are uncertain, your employer does not need to be your source of advice. Most would seek their advice from a third party (GP/DAME/CASA).

So, no, you do not need to disclose your medications to your employer, unless, as you point out, you are taking something that happens to be compatible with flying that contains a testable substance - which is unlikely. Otherwise, it is your responsibility to turn up fit for work and with nothing in your system that will cause a DAMP positive. How you achieve that is up to you.

Your heart medications, anti-cholesterol, blood thinners, anti-anxiety/anti-depressants, sleeping tablets, birth control, and arthritis medications have nothing to do with your employment relationship, and can stay safely between you and your GP, DAME, and CASA.

There is a good reason for this, and it is that is why it is enshrined in law.

So this comes back to the original question of whether an unscrupulous employer can mis-use your IHI to discover your medical history (which they have no right to, and there are penalties if they are caught).

The other point is that even if they have access to that data they cant do anything about it unless its safety related, which if you have properly disclosed to CASA has already had a determination if you hold the required medical.

Im sorry but that is pure fantasy, there have been 10 million confirmed cases of Covid 19 in UK and another 10 million asymptomatic cases. Hospitalisation of healthy people without serious health conditions under age 50 was still rare, certainly not 1 in 10 of them.
Scare mongering in the culture of fear is coming to define Australia. We are a giant open air prison with the mindset to match.

Up to Jan 30th (pre vaccinations) UK hospitalisation was running at 10% (1 in 10) of all cases, actual data has just shy of 400,000 hospitalisations vs 3,900,000 cases confirmed. After Jan 30th 2021, vaccination rates kicked in and the hospitaliasation numbers are now about 500,000 vs 9,000,000 cases confirmed which is just under 1:20 or 5%ish. What that clearly shows is vaccination has culled hospitalisation rates to probably 1/4 or less since Jan 2021.

I don't know what it is called, but some are showing a fear of fact checking their statistics.

QF and VA policies kick next week don't they? So how many are walking away? How many are being walked? How many are digging in?

Both airline's mandates are reported as cutting in on the 15/11.

I too wonder who here is willing to sacrifice their careers over this?

happy days, see ya later

for some, one of those twenty could be the difference between getting whatever promotion they desire or not. Gotta take any advantage you can in this environment. However given the forecast flying (fingers crossed), recruitment, and the 350 (fingers crossed again) it may be boom times anyway. Itís all well and good to put capacity in the air, just need the bums on seats to keep it.

Sounds like Singapore is moving to exclude non vaccinated from the public health system, the cost to the country not being accepted by the public as something everyone should bear due to a personal choice.

Well until the "state of emergency" ends anyway.

Fantastic idea, and if Jacinda would actually make up her mind about something we should be doing that here

But wait, if you're one of those strong, fiercely independent free-thinking anti-Government intervention and rules anti-vaxxers who knows better about everything about how things should be done, you shouldn't be applying for the dole. You don't need Big Government interfering in your life telling you what to do or not do, you're not a sheeple...or is it only the responsibilities of a civil society they don't want to comply with, and they're happy to take handouts and benefits when it suits?

I bet they'll drive on the left, wearing their seatbelts and carrying their licence and medicare card down to Centrelink to apply for the dole. Then because they're so concerned about privacy, pull out their iPhones that have been pinging off every mobile phone tower since 2012, and post a teary video on social media about how hard done by they are.

Won't they be considered as having 'voluntarily left employment' and be subject to a stand-down period before they can get the dole?

Hope the door doesn't hit them on the way out. There are plenty of people in aviation waiting to jump in who haven't worked in the industry for 18 months and won't for many to come who have got vaccinated and would do almost anything to get back into the industry.

Not sure where you get that info from but many are on 'leave' at the moment as its a requirement of working there, at least in Victoria that is. I have close ties to both Woolies and Coles and both are mandated workplaces here. Both are in the process of hiring another few thousand school leavers for the summer so they're filling any gaps with that. Coles has just said it will follow state rules on the matter.

Both supermarkets had supply issues when a few drivers and distribution centers in the west were closed due to staff being sick with covid, and close contacts. Luckily it's more or less normal now with the vaccination rates in those areas up to scratch now.
