Got a reply from HR today about the Test Materials and they've fixed the links that were in the emails so the test document & practice are available.

So I'll be cheeky tomorrow and take it in to work, print everything off and get it bound ;)

Do you think there is a profile selection even before stage 1 ? I applied on the 14th of july but still haven't heard anything... I'm getting worried.
It seems to be really random.

Made an application around a month ago and today got an email inviting me to take the initial online tests.

Just wondered if anyone had any info about these/ is there any need to prepare?

I'm the same still getting worried after applying on the 9th July and hearing nothing plus no email reply from HR. It can't be selection before stage one as long as you meet the criteria!

Well, at least it builds up our patience and motivation...
But its good to see we are not the only one in the same situation.
Hope it will be for tomorrow...

Well, MattWT and lkrd1 say to have applied the 9th of july, HeaVn the 14 of july, I at the end of july and none of us have received any other news but the automated respone (I take it), and yet old chrisbeckett2004 applied on the 7th of august, and has already got the invite... :hmm:

One could perhaps think, that due to NATS policy in which they only accept a limited percentage of foreigners per course, they regulate the number of invites sent out to none citizens. Hence, the delay. But I get the impression that not all of you are outsiders. So I don't have a clue.

HeaVn - I'm fairly confident that no part of selecting Air Traffic Control candidates will be "random"...

mts1.... im not a foreigner and certainly not old. Either lucky, or meet the criteria really well.

Hi all, well i applied on the 22nd July, and just this morning (30th August), i got a reply inviting me to take the online selection test. Not sure of what process they go through for getting back to people, but i had lost hope already. :8

Hi, i am applying to the NATS ATC program and have received an email to book my assessment for stage 1 of recruitment. Anyone else having difficulties with booking their assessment location/date on the link provided on the email? I cant complete it as there is no confirmation buttons or anything after selecting the location id like :S It could just be my computer if not. Cheers.

I received an email yesterday asking me to take the online assessment, i did that and within about 1 hour i got a reply asking me to go to fareham within the next few weeks to sit an assessment, along with that they sent links to information that they expect you to read and learn for that assessment, there is a 22 page guide telling you all about NATs, ATC, and aircraft, which apparantly will be on the assessment, along with a spatial reasoning question and some other bits and bobs

Hi, Yes, i got the email this morning with a choice of 2 days / times (tomorrow - SHORT NOTICE or Monday), confirmed for monday!

Well, got an email today with links to more support material and just one minute later another email saying my interview date has been cancellled! Fan-bloody-tastic! Gonna speak to someone...not HR Answerphone!

@TR24 - there is a practise you can do on the online test before you take the actual test, it will show you exactly what you have to do, same timings and everything, you can redo the practise test as many times as you like before you take the actual test. Basically they give you random numbers or letters and you have to find the matching ones from a list, the time gets shorter after each section.

@conc1845 - there was a few people that this happened to, they said it was an admin mistake and you just have to go on and reselect it, i got 4 emails saying "updated information on your interview" but they all had the same info on them.

Pretty nervous after looking here and seeing how young I am in comparison to a few of you guys. :p

@Gilley - Thanks for that :) Already had a look at the booking page again and there are several more dates (some of which more suitable for me as well) but none are selectable. 'digg' pops up with a non-functioning page issue. Have emailed and left a message with HR but will be ringing tomorrow to find out for definite what the hell is going on.

I received 3 emails today about the updated information; the test materials they've given is the older one, as it still has Flight Info Service, Radar Advisory etc when the new one says that these have been replaced with Deconfliction Service etc. Still on the same date and time though (and double checked on all three emails!)

I'm actually really busy for the next 5 days and don't want to rush myself doing what ever is on the other side of it.

You guys have interviews lined up already? I have only just got my online test. Did you get the interview appointment after completing your test?

I completed my online test last tuesday (21st) and got the assessment invite 3 days later on the friday.

Hey guys, I'm new to this forum as of an hour ago. I've applied for NATS training as well and got my email through today about the online test after applying 2 weeks ago.

I've not done the test yet, waiting until tomorrow after a good nights sleep. Any possible advantage helps.

Hopefully we'll get through most of these stages without any issues but its great to know a group like this exists.

Roughly how many questions out of 25 did you have to get right? I got the email today about the test and going to take it in the morning.

Reassuring a bit but I am miffed as to what will come up on the test? Searched all yesterday and this morning since about 8 and can't find anything on in :/

Applied way back on 13th July and had pretty much given up hope of progressing any further after hearing nothing back. Out of the blue yesterday, invitation to the online tests. Completed it straight away and woke up this morning to find an e-mail inviting me to the next stage. Off there on Monday morning, 09:15. Will be seeing you there Gilley!
