I got invited to Stage 1 a couple of years ago and ended up not going as i got offered something elsewhere, just got an email through today saying i've been invited to Stage 1. How odd as i've never applied recently, are they having a big recruitment drive? Tempted to go but i live 200 miles away from the only test centre and the only date left is in 2 weeks time at 11 in the morning. :(

How long did everyone wait before getting an email back after completing the online tests?

Just checked, nothing for me either! Ah well.

Did my Stage 1 this morning, and it was just as stressful as I remember! Good luck to all who took it today, I hope my nerves can hold out until the tell me if I'm through to Stage 2 :uhoh:

Just after I posted earlier, I received my email back saying I've been invited down to take part in stage 1. Does anyone know how often the appointments update on the link as currently there are none available. Thanks guys.

Seen a few folk at CTC this morning waiting on their stage 1 ATCO tests and just wanted to say good luck to everyone... Today was my first day as an Eng Tech so I have a rough idea about how you guys were/are feeling about your selections but yeah best of luck to everyone!

online test done...suppose even if i pass that then there wont be many (if any at all!) dates available... people still finding there are no dates?

Got my email to book stage 1 tests an hour ago, but no dates available. I hope more become available, but if they don't do i just wait in a holding pool until the next time or would i have to start again?

I have been invited to a Stage 1 Assessment, cant wait.. however I will have to as there is no dates available at the moment. I emailed NATS and got this reply:

Hi, new to this forum, I applied on the 7th August, i was invited to do an online test on the 30th, i was then (on the 31st) invited to phase 1 selection and i got a slot at 8:15 on the 26th September. 6 Hours on the Megabus to Southampton :)

Booked for the 20th 8:15. I will have to go there the night before.
But there is no place to stay.. everything is sold out!

Booked mine for the 26th @ 10.45am.

Now just need to find a suitable hotel. Anyone got a recommendation? I'll be in a car so don't mind a short drive.

I stayed at the premier inn in Fareham, it is a bit pricy though so if you have a car you may want to look elsewhere. I think there's a cheap b&b nearby somewhere but I never stayed there myself so I don't know the name...

Been invited too but won't be able to take any of available dates as I will be on a business trip.
Do you guys know if I will be re-invited for later dates?

Which mail application do you use? I guess it could be recognising the email as spam and blocking you from receiving it.

Is there anybody out there who has recently been to the stage 2 assessment day? I have mine this Friday and I'm wanting to make sure I'm as fully prepared as possible. I've spent a lot of time practising computer tests and the sdm test in particular, but I was wondering if anyone can offer me any last minute advice?

I see there's a lot of people coming up to their stage 1 test day, good luck to all of you!

Its a 30 taxi tide i guess, but for now the Solent Spa is out of my price league... maybe i'll think about it for the later stages... if i get there :)

I too have received the e-mail for the questionnaire this afternoon. About to sit down and go through it now.

Just completed my assessment, am feeling super nervous now awaiting back an e-mail!

How do they give you the options to book the next stage? I'm worried that I've missed the boat and there will be no more spaces for stage 1's!

Is it like an automated e-mail or someone in an office actually sending it (e.g. am I waiting until tomorrow's office hours)

Also, it seemed a little strange, when I completed the test it just went straight to the NATS web page, I expected a confirmation or a final thank you screen or an e-mail or anything??

sambatc: as opposed to a lot of folks who applied in august and have already been contacted for an online test and invitation, I applied back in july and still heard nothing... When did you apply?

MicroHamrah - Its fine that you were just redirected to the homepage.If you have passed the online test, they will send you an email with a link. When you click on the link at the bottom there are various dates to click on, that is if there are any available at the time.I am checking regularly as before there were none then suddenly loads cropped up. As NATS have said they're still looking at some peoples original applications, I guess more dates will show up soon! Good luck!

I received an email Monday afternoon inviting me to book an appointment for the stage 1 testing but upon following the link there were (as has been posted earlier) no actual dates. I don't particularly wish to badger the HR team with another email on the subject so I was wondering if anyone has had anything back other than to 'wait until more are available'?

I'm working throughout the day at the moment with no email access and if the bookings only re-open during the day this could become problematic!

I have mine on 26th, staying in travel lodge in southampton (£29) then train to swanwick (£4) then short taxi ride.

aye, I thought it might be that.... except for that one guy who applied a few years ago!

Just keep at it everybody. I am certain they will try to get everybody sorted within the next few weeks!

For myself, woke up to yet more good news. Another e-mail from NATS. Stage 2 here I come. Now if only there were a selection of dates available to book:ok:

At least the process does seem to be quite speedy at the moment. Hopefully it won't have lost momentum by the time they get through to my application
