The same as Heathrow Gatwick & Stansted then if you look at the About Tab!

Did Taxiway Delta reopen then, NOTAM has expired but havn't seen any movements use it again?

See the SkyUp flight went walkabout again tonight, this time off at the mid point then missed foxtrot and had to turn around in the run up bay.
Surely it’s not that difficult to navigate Luton is it?

Exited the runway at Charlie as well, makes me think the flight was very light on pax!

Still closed when I flew out last night. The NOTAM has been refreshed showing closure now until 25th June. However, the work looks complete now with the temporary fences gone, airside roads finished and equipment cleared. So must be close to opening.

Meanwhile work continues on the North Apron, re-aligning the taxiway further south to make room for the 3 new stands.

Tirana

So Wizzair to offer x35 weekly and RYR up the road x14 weekly, along with Birmingham x2 getting a connection, that is a hell of alot of seats to fill - let battle commence!

So we are coming up for the first anniversary of the last publication of LRT accounts where the losses were declared at a little over £100m for the year reported.

Anyone like to guess what the Council taxpayer owners can look forward to this year? A return to profit, more of the same or bigger losses?

Tirana

So where is the demand coming from seeing Albania has never been part of the EU and is the number one country for boat people crossing the English Channel.

I too am intrigued by Tirana. Wizz have been operating x3 daily with A321s this year, with presumably acceptable loads and yields. But when that increases to 5 daily to LTN, plus 3 to STN, it looks like another CPH in the making.

3 to STN? RUK will be double daily, are you counting Air Albania which has gone bust? WZZ with soon 11 based airplanes in Tirana currently uses W9 Luton based aircraft so I assume will be complemented with W6 aircraft.

I can't see Tirana being sustainable. 5x daily seems to start around mid-December looking at their website (including on Christmas Day!). Departure times vary a little day on day, but are generally from Luton at around 07.45, 09.00, 15.40, 18.25 and 18.50. Note the last 2 departures within 25 minutes of each other. Exiting 3 rotations from Wizz UK aircraft remain and are supplemented by 2 rotations from aircraft based in Tirana.

That is a very good question!

How many seats is The Home Office reserving to return rejected nautical arrivals?

Same can be asked about EDI, MAN, LPL, BHX and STN. While Albania is said to be an attractive country to visit, surely it can't be THAT ATTRACTIVE!

Don’t think that many have been sent back. It might be a case that once they have avoided a detention centre and get some accommodation over come their relations to visit them.

The source I looked at mentioned 21 RYR per week STN-TIA. Perhaps that is their ultimate objective.

ACL Winter 23 Initial Coordination Report shows new slot demand requested by ITA (1495) and Transavia France (20) as new Airlines.
Showing no slots allocated for both of them plus none for SunExpress ( which has already been made aware of - to STN) or FlyOne.
Even Ryanair only got 75% of requested
Total Demand was 50018 slots —allocated 41628 (83%)

Bremerhaven (BRV) is showing as a new destination with 30,360 seats ???

Interesting that ITA obviously see loads of opportunities for Italian routes but sadly not going to happen due to PATM constraints.

Bremerhaven Airport is now closed and the area is earmarked for expansion of seaport. Maybe Bremen City which is only 50km away, close to Dutch boarder as well as AMS is technically full.

ITA got slots at LGW so probally only fishing.

BRV was the previously expected IATA code for Brasov in Romania which ended up being allocated code GHV. Brasov (or strictly speaking, Brasov-Ghimbav) airport will open properly to commercial passenger flights on 15 June 2023.
You can read more about this on a Romanian blog at https://boardingpass.ro/ghv-este-cod...ui-din-brasov/

Bremerhaven (BRV) airport closed permanently several years ago. Bremen has IATA code BRE. Wizzair will open a route 3x weekly from Luton to Brasov on 2 August 2023, in competition with Danair who will fly Gatwick-Brasov from 16 June. An A321 with 230 seats flown 3x weekly in each direction for 22 weeks comes to 30,360 seats

Bremerhaven (BRV) "was" a regional airport situated 7.6 km (4.7 m) from the city center. The airport closed on the 29 February 2016 in preparation for a new freight seaport to be built on the site. So I can't see Bremerhaven materialising. Bremen (BRE) is the nearest airport to Bremerhaven and is the major airport serving the region. Bremen is a beautiful city and totally underated as a short city break destination.

It appears that ITA seem to applying for any available slots in their recent ACL applications. More than likely due to their slot situation at LHR.

Bremerhaven airport still seems to have aircraft based there after looking at Google maps satellite view. The runway is listed as 1200m

Looking at the slot requests for W23, quite noticeable about half as many 319s so EZY upsizing. I believe they could be basing 321s, if the arrive in time.
