La Compagnie flights

Any one know what's happening with the New LTN-EWR flights this week. The aircraft operated on Sunday night returning Monday morning to LTN but then departed again (possibly for Paris).

The flights don't seem to have operated since.

Thanks Powerjet. Yes, departed at 1436 according to FR24 but it's not scheduled to operate today.

I've also been wondering what's been going on with La Compagnie. From what I can tell they have been only using one aircraft for both Paris and Luton flights since the Luton flights began. The Luton flights have been sporadic and on a couple of days they have flown CDG - LTN - EWR - LTN - CGD.

From Monday next week, according to their website booking system, they have a more regular schedule from LTN every day apart from Tue and Thu. If that's the case then I would expect to see both their aircraft in operation.

Sounds like La Compagnie could be using a HiFly A340 this week.

I think the clocks ticking for La Compagnie it's only time before they go out of business, the way they are operating at the moment I can't see them successfully staying afloat!

The A340 out of CDG? I suppose it wouldn't be fully loaded, but is such an aircraft able to be operated out of LTN?

Bit of a mess this airline isn't it? I know we shouldn't say things like this - but I'd be surprised if this operation was still going past the end of the summer season, let alone into 2016.

And everybody on this thread scoffed when I said I'd give them until the end of the year. Maybe the end of the month would've been more realistic.

The concept doesn't work for companies that don't make a dog's dinner of it, nevermind those that do.

From the outside looking in they sound like an utter shambles of an airline with absolutely no strategy at all. It's a tough market to get into at the best of times but La Compagnie seem to making it even harder for themselves.

If and when they fail, it'll, make little or no difference to Luton but it'll be a great shame that they didn't work harder totes to make it work

The Hi-Fly A340 just landed (from Gatwick), presumably operating to Newark at 17:45

So they have an issue with one of their aircraft being out of service and have laid on a sub without cancelling the flight. Well done I would say. Apparently they have been running nealy full but I have no idea what fares have been charged.

Its a bot more severe when you rephrase it:

'so they have an issue with 50% of their aircraft...'

True, but...(from Wiki)

A self-labelled "serial entrepreneur", Stelios started working in 1988 for his father's already successful shipping business, Troodos Shipping Co Ltd. At 25, his father gave him £30 million that he used to set up his own shipping company, Stelmar Shipping.[5] Stelios floated the company on the NYSE in 2001. In 2005, Stelmar Shipping was sold to the OSG Group for approximately $1.3 billion.

(my italics)

...it helps when you go to Boeing and tell them you want to set up an airline with those sort of credentials, eh?

Luton really need to sort out their punctuality, being through the airport 3 times recently and departures delayed by up to 40 minutes all times, this evening for the most part of 90 minutes all flights departed with a minimum of 27 minutes delay and by the looks of it they were not because of inbound aircraft delays....
