BBC Look East Article...
Really nice article on BBC Look East (West Edition) on the new service to Newark and also talks about the airport in general and how it is booming. With interviews from the Airport Manager, and easyJet spokes person.
The article is in the first six minutes of the BBC iPlayer

I wonder if they could route CDG-LTN-EWR when loads are low to get it up and running. The current departure times from Europe are within an hour of each other- could make sense if it's possible!!

That wouldn't best please those who are traveling from Paris. Apparently there were 36 passengers on board. Out of those 36 there were no doubt a few freebies

It would be nice to see La Compangnie make a go of it.
BA are aggressively going after them though. You can get a BA club fare out of LL for the same rate at the moment. Typical big boy bully tactics

How long?
I really hope they make a go of it. But both Eos and Maxjet started off well in STN untill they started hurting A.A.'s first class numbers. We all know what happens when you step on a big boys toe, you get stomped on!

Its all up, up and away
It should be remembered that Eos, Maxjet and Silverjet were victims of the recession and the then price of oil.
I too wish La Compangnie luck and hope they are a success as Luton during 2015 is to experience positive growth and will achieve another milestone by carrying an estimated 11.5 million passengers this year.
From the VLM portal it appears they are doing well in filling their seats and I hope that when they are fully established further routes will follow.
Easyjet have increased their LTN fleet from 15 a/c to 18 and if they honor their expectation to double their fleet at Luton-then over the next 9 years there are a further 12 aircraft yet to be based at Luton.
Everything is looking rosy so to speak!

Looks like there is no Sunday or Wednesday flights to New York, at least for a couple of weeks. The flight schedule shows M, W, F, Su(4) until mid May when Saturday is added ie 5 wkly, so have 2 gone already. Also most flights are still showing promo fares of £288ow.

Think it arrives at 10.45am in LTN
Yes prices have been slashed £288 single for many dates is a bargain but not a good sign of advance bookings.
Word needs to get around quickly!!
