I wouldn't read much into the schedules not being available as yet.
I have a sneaking suspicion that Flybe have another batch of routes to release fairly soon to fill the current gaps in the schedules and to released the likes of NQY-LBA which is to benefit from regional air connectivity funding so I wouldn't be surprised if all of these are released at the same time under a big announcement.

Yes I agree, I think there's more to come with Flybe @ CWL and got a feeling there maybe another announcement soon, obviously the E195's are used more or less to capacity but plenty of Dash 8's. Be good too see some regional European flights such as TXL, BOD, EGC etc.

Let's not get ahead of ourselves here guys. Even though the MAN route has slots, it doesn't necessarily mean that the route is meant for CWL, let's wait for an official announcement.
With regard to the Euro 2016 flights, it's a bit of a no brainer for BE to use additional aircraft to transport Welsh passengers to see the games, it's been a long time coming for Wales to get to a major championship, and I know for a fact that there will be a rather large following going to France in the Summer. We'll know more details of the Bordeaux and Toulouse routes next Wednesday when they are announced, but i can bet that there'll be a good few flights for each game ! It's also a chance for them to gain some good additional revenue on such a high yield service, which is effectively a charter operation, something which both FR and VY have latched onto at the airport, now operating routes for the Six Nations fixtures.
With regard to further BE expansion, I think that the current crop of routes needs to grow first, which may take some time, especially with current loadings, although it's hard to tell since it's the first time some of the routes have operated throughout the winter, and it's BE's first Winter back at the airport so figures are not going to be that great in what is known as the hardest time of the year when even EZY and FR make losses (Less this year due to a decreased fuel price). The true indicator of BE's growth at CWL will be looking at the routes from March onwards.
In other news, VY officially has PMI on sale throughout the months promised a while ago, which will be it's largest presence ever at CWL with 16x weekly departures at it's peak. TOM have officially dropped SSH due to it's situation, only now being operated from a hand full of UK airports, so this Summer and next Winter's schedules have been amended for that.
As of the new year, the departure lounge is undergoing a little revamp, with the duty free store being altered, to what I believe will be the standard kind of duty free at airports where you will have to walk through the store after security clearance. This is due for completion sometime in the coming weeks before the Summer season begins.
Finally, 2016 looks set to be CWL's best year for a considerable amount of time with growth and new services from a few operators all adding to the mix.

Yes totally agree, hopefully 2016 will be a good year all round for CWL, Flybe & VY.
Also agree it's good seeing BE take advantage of the sporting events and imagine there will also be some additional flights for the 6 nations rugby too.

The prices to BOD & TLS with BE for the Euro 2016 are quite high indeed....any idea if there has been a good response to the sale of the seats ??
Also see on "Wales on line" CWL chasing a link to Iceland if it can't secure a direct flight.....fingers crossed

On another aviation website a member who is usually well informed on MAN matters has posted that the Flybe MAN-CWL service, previously discussed in this thread, is expected to be announced on Monday.

Is it just going to be MAN or is there something else in the pipeline ? Seems a bit over the top an "announcement" on Monday for a daily MAN flight....not knocking it as its all good news, just hope it's something else there too.....BE are now known at CWL so hopefully they'll test the water on other routes

Ryanair
Intriguing video placed on YouTube today by Ryanair pushing 16 places that 'you must see' in 2016. Cardiff is one along with Belfast and Newquay in the UK.
All the airports mentioned have Ryanair flights or will have later this year. BFS and NQY will both begin Ryanair flights in 2016 with the former becoming a base. In fact, some of the other non-UK destinations in the 16 mentioned are also new bases or new destination airports for Ryanair this year. However, one of them, Timisoara, won't commence until November and until then Ryanair will have no flights to that airport, unless something is announced for summer pretty quickly. Timisoara will be a new base from November.
Currently CWL has just one TFS rotation per week. It doesn't seem likely that Ryanair would expect many Tenerife residents to visit Cardiff (no reason why they shouldn't because it's a fine city) so it may be that something else is in the pipeline.
I can add nothing to the Flybe rumours, Letsflycwl.

It does seem a tad odd for Cardiff to feature in this new marketing video for 2016, whilst only having a 1x weekly to TFS, therefore one can only assume that more is on the way in 2016, and I wouldn't be surprised at all.
With regards to Monday, CWL are putting on some off-site marketing event, and apparently it's going to be 'Very Purple'. Pretty much confirming the speculation of CWL-MAN being launched on Monday, perhaps with a few others too ...

Very interesting indeed.....lets see what Monday brings and fingers all crossed. Hopefully some more from BE other than MAN too.
Where is this FR video you've all mentioned ? Is there a link to it ?
TFS has obviously proved to FR that the sunshine routes work at CWL, would love to see LPA, FUE added and possibly a Greek or Cypriot destination....just my wish list.

BE are apparently going to announce a few new services ex. CWL tomorrow, even rumours of an additional based aircraft, with routes to AMS, NCL, MAN and Nantes.
MAN is all but confirmed.

That's amazing news from BE if that is the case, BMI baby had good loads to AMS in competition with KLM, be it one a day, NCL will face completion with Eastern, BE tried before ex CWL but soon ended that route. MAN may work with the connections if timed correctly.
Great to see NTE, would love EGC, BOD or BIQ......I imagine it's going to need another based aircraft and imagine it may be the Dash or smaller Embraer as all E195's utilised now (I think).
What about Ryanair ??

The Flybe online schedule suggests weekday Dusseldorf services are ending in late February and with a few cuts on other services (e.g. no Friday morning DUB, no Saturday DUB, no weekend Munich flights) then I guess this will make some space for replacement flying. With use of aircraft from other points (e.g. Manchester) then it may not need more based aircraft.
Those with longer memories will recall Flybe's last attempt at an off-peak Cardiff-Newcastle operation which didn't last long....

I'm with you on that one Flightrider.
Plus AMS would put them in a fight with KLM, something I could never see BE winning due to the need to secure a large market for AMS like EZY managed to do at BRS and operate side by side with KLM.
It will be an interesting announcement nonetheless, especially since they were trying to find a coffee supplier all of last week via Twitter for 1,000 coffee's to be served off-site from 7:30AM on Monday morning, they also hinted it was to be a very special day, which was going to be ... 'Very Purple' !
