And with regards to the supposed MAN route what on earth happened to that being announced today ?

My thoughts exactly, was expecting some great news today but all so far is just coffees being issued as its "the most depressing day of the year"......is this what all the hype was about ? What happened to AMS, MAN, NTE & NCL being added ??
Have I missed out on something ?

To be fair the MAN rumour came from this and another forum, with slot applications, flight numbers etc. all being posted so that is a tad strange.
However everything else you mention was just something someone seemingly added on Wikipedia on a Sunday morning. And before you know it everyone's talking about it, I can go on there and say CWL has daily services to JFK, DXB, MAD or anywhere else, but it doesn't mean for a second it's going to happen.
Just a classic case of waiting before anything official is made public.

Vueling are to increase their CWL offering next Winter from CWL with an additional weekly ALC on Wednesdays. This now brings their Winter routes to 3x weekly ALC and 2x weekly AGP, with further growth anticipated next Summer on the back of this, plus Summer 2016's rise in frequencies.
Also reported on another forum that the rumoured CWL-MAN service with BE will still go ahead, but apparently the announcement is still pending according to a contributor on the MAN forum over there.

Maybe we should just not comment on this again until something official is released?

It's good to see Vueling increasing their presence yet again....wouldn't surprise me over the next 1-2 years that they'll be doing daily flights.....lets hope for some more destinations too from them.
As for Flybe, let's just wait and see what happens there......all good news though

Cardiff on Facebook
Have to say well done to Cardiff Airport for their presence on Facebook. Flybe flights are all over Facebook and there is a great effort on social media as well as at Cardiff station the other day. So well done to who ever started that. Also heard that the Flybe flights to Milan out of Cardiff are being increased and that The Bristol-Milan flights have been pulled from end of March ??

The push for Vueling over the last few months has also paid off, with continual increases in frequencies on our routes. As far as i'm aware the BMIR MXP service ex BRS isn't on sale beyond the end of March, so i'm assuming only this side of the bridge will serve MXP this Summer, with increased frequency. A minor victory for CWL on that one !

Flew with Norwegian UK this week from LGW, fantastic service all round and my preferred low cost airline over Easyjet and Ryanair. Not my first flight with them and certainly not my last.
Brand new aircraft, spacious seats and fantastic service onboard too.
They would be an ideal airline for CWL, the TFS flight is for Thomson but would be great to have a schedule route from them.

But look at the transformation that has taken place.....it no longer looks like a 1970's reject !
Yes it's a lot of money I totally agree but if it wasn't bought Albertis would have done nothing and the place ruined.
Let's just hope they get the APD dissolved asap now then bring on the good times....after all why shouldn't Wales have the same powers as Scotland and Northern Ireland ???

Mate, it's 'Abertis' not 'Albertis'. You make it sound like a shampoo ! Bugs me just as much as those who call 'Thomson', 'Thompson'.

Probably more than £23 as CWL is at least 13 miles from centre of Cardiff. Most firms charge £2 per mile plus £2.50 starting price.
North Somerset taxi rates are a lot higher than Cardiff or Vale of Glamorgan too.
