that should be good, hopefully 1 or 2 other routes to even out/grow capacity for s16 with the other reductions and loss of poitiers and nice.

Great news for Shannon this route should do well given no access from the west currently - interesting to see what the other route is

Ryanair planning service cuts at Shannon | The Clare Herald

I'm rather confused. What's happening with Ryanair?

I suspect it's really a case of as you were.

Some routes cut and some capacity reduced to allow for at least one new route and increased capacity elsewhere.

Depending on your stance, it can be spun positively or negatively.

That's old enough news Poitiers and nice were cut a few weeks ago and reduced frequency on Manchester Munich and Paris - if the Edinburgh route comes to fruition will replace most of the capacity loss although I don't see any extra capacity on additional services being added ??

given that ryanair haven't given a proper explanation can that be taken as new capacity is expected to be announced soon, its quite old news like schedules have been up for about 6/7 weeks now id say.

Their schedules are pretty much released and on sale on their website from irish airports but would expect bits and pieces and any potential new routes ( if there is to be ) to be announced in next few weeks

Announcement must be imminent so will be interesting to see what operator takes it on be it a 6 weekly\daily stobart route or a 3\4 weekly fr who would obviously carry a lot more passengers. My money is on stobart if any airline and an increase the bhx aswell is probably look likely its been performing quite well since its resumption around 80%lf. Hopefully it works out its much needed.

Anyone hear anything about an announcement next week about new routes? Rumours are rife with staff on the ground but seems to be speculation at minute

Yesterday this time last year, it was exactly a month since the Ryanair SNN summer schedule was announced. At this stage I'd be sceptical as to whether any sort of announcement will be made this year!

Plenty of demand in both regions to support services from both airports I would hope

Delta JFK-SNN says B767-300 in booking engine, but, when you click seat map, shows as B767-400 at the top of the screen, but still a B767-300 seat map?

May be a further increase to come.

Hmm, could also be a site error.
A 767-400 is alot of capacity, especially with EI and UA with daily 757 services too! On that 767-300 there is 26 business class seats! That is a well supplied business product.

Next year I can see nearly over-capacity on the NYC routes, which could lead to a few nice bargains (and hopefully a larger market as a result), but hopefully all airlines will continue on the routes.

Dont see it as seat map is low J class and a B764 is 16 more J seats, if demand was high they would swtich to high J class 763 version.

Moving from 16 J to 40 J (764) in a year is madness even for DL.
