MAN base not for sale but routes are loaded. Shannon does appear to be reduced, as, from the MAN end, Wednesday and Saturday state 'no flights' versus the 'sold out' on the other 5 days.
Hopefully, the full schedule tweaking means daily service is restored, but, at this time, it does look like MAN-SNN is being reduced.

Not surprised at the French routes Poitiers had load factors of under 60% for a lot of the season - likewise Paris struggled outside of the peak months - surprised Manchester can't take a daily service given no Liverpool service - hopefully the capacity replaced but doesn't look overly positive for expansion at this stage

FR expansion at ORK would fit in with their attempt to heat up competition with EI, as demonstrated by yesterdays FR expansion announced for DUB.
EI aren't particularly big at SNN and FR already go head-to-head with the few short-haul routes they do have.
So far, one or two routes at SNN have been dropped or slightly reduced. There's still 2 based a/c and plenty of time for new routes to be added, it's hardly a disaster.
As far as I'm concerned, the size of the network at ORK is far more disappointing.

Personally I think Ryanair have no competition on the route now, so they are reducing it to the max profit size. Seats are for sale now, it looks like 5pw is happening.
In terms of Cork, I wouldn't be surprised to see NCE transferred to ORK, after that I think the Shannon schedule is pretty much safe (Bar the capacity decreases).
I can't see the eastern european routes going, from what I've heard they are doing exceptionally well, and have the highest yield of the year round routes at SNN.

That won't stop FR closing down perfectly good routes, they will be looking at the bigger picture;ie, going up against EI. If they expand at Cork whats the betting that they will try going to Beauvais and Menningham, both Paris and Munich are served direct by EI from Cork.

I think Ryanair have changed a little in that aspect. With fees at ORK still higher than SNN and the fact that the routes at SNN now have somewhat established themselves, I cannot see most of the routes moving. Markets don't always move with the routes.
If RYR really wanted to hurt EI at ORK, I'd say they'd do AGP over the winter.

anyone know when ryanair will officially launch their shannon s16 schedule and if there are any new developments planned for s16 other than the reduced frequencies and loss of poitiers and nice routes.

So Shannon gets competition on a route from ORK and no new routes or even capacity increases as of yet.
Why can't I help but feel a little annoyed at the management?

Dublin airport is a far bigger competitor to Shannon and Cork than they are with each other thanks to the M7 and M8.
Even a Cork junior minister chose to drive/hitch a ride from the Gardai to Dublin airport rather than use his local airport recently

A 3x daily return service is hardly competition to a 2 weekly service on stupid days at stupid times? Anyway that's not related to SNN.
MAN is reduced to 6pw for the last 3 weeks of January,
MAN cut to from 7pw to 5pw from end of March
BOS is reduced to 5pw for JAN/FEB
NCE is cut
PIS is cut
BVA cut from 3pw to 2pw
FMM cut from 3pw to 2 pw
There's a possibility of losing AGP and maybe FAO with EI.
With the new ORK service a 767 may not get to SNN next year for BOS.
On the up side, LHR is now an A320 and ACE may be extended year-round.
I can see numbers stalling or even falling for 2016.

Dublin will always be top but exclude bucket/spade and UK routes realistically only one airport outside Dublin will be able to sustain a more brander European network that is profitable. DY US routes out of Cork while small and if they start they will put a dint in one of SNN's big selling points to customers and as the MAX becomes much more common across the pound in the next few years i'm sure Cork will see more and Shannon may as well.
Cork/Shannon are like Belfast Int and City only one will be the big player and the population is broadly similar to both regions.
The current FR discussions with the daa at Cork could be a big factor in where routes/passengers go outside Dublin next year. Will be interesting.
As for the BRU thing, Aer Ryan is right, but we can blame Germany, it's 99% their fault why he had to fly to BRU on that day
