Interesting aircraft - what have you seen on your computer today?
Anyone have any idea why a 2-ship Spitfire visit to Central London took place today just after 12 ? I was busy involved with something when the sublime sound of two Merlin engines got louder and louder and got my full attention. They originated in the Lincs area (BBMF?) and they did a couple of tight circuits and headed home again.

Currently northbound to the west of Sardinia is USAF TC-135W 62-4127 showing as “MAVRK55”. Aircraft is routing from Luqa to RAF Waddington. Should route through France and then over London.

Apparently I saw 62-4127 when it was a C-135B. Gap in the date/place that I never got around to tying down. If it slides over here I'll pop outside!

Bit too far east unless it wasn't leaving a trail. Couple of airliners just went over eastbound leaving very short trails. Should be able to see them over Southend, but cloud/neighbouring houses provide too much clutter!
Saw a French A320 and a Thy B777 have a mid air last night... 1000' vertically between them but from where I was standing the old adage "frequency separation if nothing else" rose to mind!

Firstly, arriving from Offutt: https://myneighbourhood.emsbk.com/lh...btrak/59888503
Then, enroute from Waddington to Malta: https://myneighbourhood.emsbk.com/lh...btrak/59889241
Apparently, it had a spell as a VC-135B at one stage in its history.
In Bristol yesterday and from car park roof saw whatwas cleary a wide body aircraft which I though was on base for easterly landing at BRS, then realised theywere on westerlies. Quick FR 24 check and it is a A330 from Lyon to CWL same approach down the Bristol channel as BRS but turn right not left.
Still though it odd as to why it was an A330-300 Lyon to Cardiff - then the penny dropped-Rugby World Cup,

A neighbour asked if an 'Antonov' had gone into LHR on Sunday 24th Sept around 11.30am. I can't see anything, might anyone here have any idea ?
Whilst waiting on a very crowded train paltform earlier this evening, the roofed edifice became filled with a familiar sound. I was the only one to check that it was an AN-12 and it was flying for CAVOK.

A coupled of BA A380s into Heathrow either side of 11.30 - can't see anything unusual. Apart from a Belgian C152 which flew unnoticed over my gaff.

Where do you go to dear M-ARTY
When you whiz over my head
Eastwards a daily occurrence
I have to leap out of my bed, yes I do, yes I do...
And back every day at four thirty
For the circuit at Fairoaks you head
(Already you're east of West Malling)
From the Continent to your own bed
Well maybe not every day. Fun fact, Peter Startedt grew up in the Croydon area.

Mr T, you have a talent it would seem. You are hereby anointed the musical bard of spotter's corner 2023-24.
So the 'Antonov' went by SW London at 11.26am and "wasn't an A380, different but bigger"...Might it have been a C17, or A400 or some freighter not on the normal trackers ? This person, whilst not a plane nut has enough daily sightings to recognise if something is different. I have no clue, but perhaps others might.

I see a TC-135W is operating from a secret Lincolnshire airfield and visiting the Moray Firth.

Formation of three Agusta 119s just went over here out of Biggin, G-HZRD, G-WHIP and G-MADX, apparently carrying large numerals 2, 3 and 4 as part of their schemes. Sounds like The Manfreds, where are 5 and 1?

A Cessna Caravan reported by my wife heading to SE from Cumbria. We usually see them in Africa not West Yorkshire , so though she is not really into aviation she recognised it. I am in Germany, and to be frank doubted her identification, but checking on flight radar sure enough a Caravan heading SE from what looks like Ulverstone.
Cheers

Didn't Russia announce some sort of upcoming nuke test? Not only the civil protection exercise...
This one is said to be going to be launched, their nuclear powered cruise missile with some nuclear "exhaust".

Noticed a Korean Air Lines 787 coming into Heathrow via Biggin just now, rather smart exec scheme; tis indeed a BBJ version of the 787.
The WC-135 looked as though it was heading for Cyprus, disappeared now so I assume it landed there.
