Just spotted him too, walking very slowly so as to hopefully be in position to see a Southampton - Barkway routing...

Sitting on a road name trying not to look suspicious! Hundred miles from me... looking good for Southampton (Ibsley?)... should stand out against the cirrus...

Edit: Yaaaaaaaay!

Yaaaay! indeed.....

Despite the darkening grey overcast, the Moby Dick was very visible and that was a pleasant surprise. "Thar she blows!"

When is AF1 arriving ?

AF1 at the west coast of Ireland, so an hour or less out. Choppers headed north towards STN.

"Allo Nathawk!" Harringay residents must be delighted with the endlessly circling Biden CH-47 "Nighthawk 8"!

AF1 heading off eastwards. I thought that Biden was staying until tomorrow ? Perhaps he's in a huff ? ;-)

Quite a bit of MIL chopper action along the Thames today, looked to be at least 5 Chinooks etc perhaps linked to the fleeting Biden visit to the UK. Also a BAF NH-90 whopping away a bit later

Idly glancing at Fairford arrivals on and off, N572MA, Meta Aerospace KC-135R had just arrived, ex USAF and Singapore AF... something new every day!

Further afield 13-001 a Turkish E-7 has been been doing the AEW&C watching over the NATO summit. Not something the UK is currently able to provide

German Air Force A321 flew into and out of Cork from CGN yesterday, aircraft ID apparently 15+11. Not visible on FlightRadar, but could be seen on ADSBExchange. Dunno what it was doing there ...

German CH-53 popped into Biggin yesterday afternoon to refuel. Like all the other furrign military choppers, it chose the Thames Heli Route for its onward journey to Fairford. Shame, otherwise it would have flown over here. Haven't seen one in years, recall watching one turn itself inside out over Greenham Common, landing with the ramp lowered and an "erk" nonchalantly cycling out and off down the runway (presumably whistling something appropriate). Also remember seeing a pair of them interrupting a geog lesson at school circa 1978, heading north from Shoreham direction - "HEER" writ large on the sponsons...

...and another E-4 heading back from Vilnius and an assignation with KC-135s off Norfolk; Titan 25, presumably US SoS Defence.

Noisyish jet traffic westbound over Croydon just now, nothing on ADSB - presume might be something inbound Fairford. Went outside just the wrong side of too late!

Arrivals vid on YouTube shows a pair of Italian AV-8Bs arriving, might have been them I suppose, more leisurely Italian C-130 sauntered past a few mins later.

One for our Continental readers

One-Air Boeing 747–433 G-UNET has been to-ing and fro-ing between Liege and Charteroux today. I see it’s a -433 which I think makes it a former Air Canada Queen of the skies!
