I was called for an interview with the CEO. It lasted for about two and a half hours. Then I had another interview with a Senior DGCA official ( just to crosscheck that I am not FAKE ) . As of now the offer looks good .They are still in need of pilots and copilots . Will keep you posted

@sharansiddharth..
Do corporate companies call for interviews by just sending emails??
I thought you have to personally go knocking on their doors and wait patiently outside their office before they even consider looking at you.Kindly correct me if i am wrong and kindly elaborate on which companies consider CPL holders.Thanx!!

I dont have an ATPL and I did go knocking at many doors .
Eventhough I have 1275 hours , I do not have an ATPL and I do not feel the need for it as of now.
Why ?
1. ATPL is not issued untill an unless you have atleast 1500 of total time with atleast 1000 hours PIC ( 50 percent of Copilot hours can be considered as PIC hours for the issue of ATPL. Multi engine Endorsement is also helpful if your aim is to join an airline.
2. Most of the corporate houses in India have aircrafts below 5700 kgs . AND to be a COMMANDER on these aircrafts you do not need an ATPL.
3. Even if a company has a heavier aircraft ( above 5700 kg) one can be hired as a copilot if you have CPL and later when you fulfill stipulated number of hours get an ATPL .
4. There are many Pros and Cons of being a Holder of ATPL e.g. I am 32 so I have Class ONE Medicals only once an year . If I would have had an ATPL , then I had to undergo medical every six months.
I would agree with the fact that if you want a job , then you have to go knocking at the doors of desired employer.
I have not yet signed any written contact with ventura airconnect. Maybe because they have not been able to import the aircraft till date. Or in the worst case scenario , they want to hire an even more experienced Pilot Indian / Expat.
My only aim was to bring attention for Pilots of this Forum about the methods I am following and take advise or help of an altruistic person to increase our chances of getting hired .
I have worked for three companies and let me tell you I was lucky to get job in three companies . None of them came easy . Sitting at home will not get you a job , you have to get out of your comfort zone and make your presence felt wherever you find an oppurtunity.

Mr.S,
You still have a 1000hrs more than most of us. Did you gain the extra hours from your previous jobs? Did you work as an instructor?
The method I've use for sending my cv is Email,as its impractical to go to diff locations in person? What else would you suggest for a lowtimer to do out of his/her comfortzone?
Your inputs will be grateful.
Thanks

By knocking at doors I really mean Impractical Stuff
I gave up my bangalore house to move to house at greater noida .
Had saved enough money to last me for an year or so .
I find Delhi & NCR as a strategic location for all aviation related solutions.
If I now get an offer lets say in hyderbad or bangalore , I will take my night kit , atm , phone and charger and catch the first train to hyderbad or bangalore .
But, I guess I am just fortunate that people buying new aircrafts have to come to delhi , so when they come to delhi , we meet at location decided by them.
The first step is Email , Second is Phone Call and Third is meeting personally .
There is no harm in trying . And you will thank yourself after getting a Job , like many others who have followed my advice.
Cheers

year 2005 - 2006 -- 53 hours approx at Garg aviation limited Kanpur
year 2006 - 2007 -- 20 hours at rajiv Gandhi aviation academy ,Hyderabad
year 2007 - 2009 -- 685 hours at IFSAL indiaflysafe aviation limited

Total 1275 hours approx including Simulator flying of 10 hours at Flight safety International Kansas, Wichita
Miltary flying :-
year 2000 - 2003
360 hours 15 minutes on various aircrafts like Ardhra Glider , Hindustan piston trainer HPT 32, hindistan jet trainer HJT -16 as pilot and Avro as a navigator. (all this was not counted due to strict INDIAN AIR FORCE Policy)
Apart from this there are so many hours which I had to fly with Student Pilots of the flying clubs mentioned as Safety Pilot , just to get my flying done . All those hours were put on the name of either the CFI or the Solo Pupil.
Any other Questions regarding my flying?

FYI
JAA only require a medical once per year, if you are flying multi crew, under the age of 60. This medical examination takes 1 hour tops.
Compare this with a DGCA class one every 6 months, carried out by the IAF over a period of a day, minimum.
Who's system is most sensible?
This of course is under the assumption the f/o is capable of taking over if the Captain is incapacitated.

No one in India really cares what the JAA is doing. We fly under DGCA jurisdiction and that's what matters to us. I fail to see what point you are getting at with that post. We all know the system is flawed, and that's putting it mildly. But irrelevant facts not pertaining to the discussion baffle me to say the least.
It's almost like it's a worldwide hobby to bash Indian aviation. While I agree with all issues raised, using EVERY opportunity (whether it furthers the debate or not) is pointless.
While you seem to have been the target of my opinion, this goes out to all and sundry.
Rant over.

FYI
I was not India bashing. I was simply stating facts. How you interpret those facts is up to you.
" We all know the system is flawed, and that's putting it mildly."
Then why doesn't India call for help from an outside organisation such as ICAO? Would that not be the natural course of events instead of driving them away, if national pride didn't interfere with proceedings? Clearly India don't seem to be managing on their own sorting out the problems of the civil aviation department.

In an anarchy, certain people profit. In this case it's the people in charge. Why would they fix anything when they thrive in it? These guys are too busy making a quick buck to worry about 'national pride'. It all comes down to transparency and accountability. And right now there is a dearth of both in this country, let alone civil aviation.
I never disputed your facts. There really is no room for interpretation. The system sucks and it's not getting any better. What I took exception is to them being stated out of context to the ongoing discussion.

No, what you're doing is actually accepting the situation and saying it is beyond you and anyone else doing anything about it.
It's that helpless acceptance that drives pro pilots from outside India crazy with you. Examples from around the world, enshrined in ICAO are actually your best weapon in facing down the corrupt, non flying office bound lackeys in the DGCA.
Show the public and the government the facts with aviation countries running on a far larger scale of operation than India and for 40 years longer. The DGCA is only what it is because you let it be what it is. A hint: there are some very well educated, unemployed pilots in India with family connections to the law.

Sorry to interrupt the discussion/debate on the flaws in the system... here's something that might be "Indian Aviation Vacancy Information": Times Ascent, Delhi 6th April.
Okay... back to my place under the rock. Carry on with the debate, people!
