Jet Airways - Still awaiting results from the 2011 Jan recruitment drive.

Kingfisher - People are leaving are being replaced by cadets who have waited for long time. They promise to comeback with a bang!

Spicejet - The King of Backdoor entries + Charging hefty sum from candidates for stupid exam of theirs.

Indigo - Only recruiting through CAE.

Go-Air - Hardly any expansion, but recently there was an exam for guys TR on 320. Any more news??

Air India - I have no idea, i think they themselves have no idea...

AI Express - They are hiring people with 500 hrs on 737, dunno from where will they get guys with 500 hrs on type. Any info if someones being called for interview??

thats true people...if only India was not corrupted
we invest in lacks to earn CPLs and TRs backdoor entries make me sick

but what is the point? we spend so much to learn and make ourselves eligble for recruitments...if we again have to spend money for backdoor entries...how many bucks we earn and how do we pay our loans

thats why many out there quit after searchin for jobs and divert to some other jobs just to pay the bank

Remember guys, only 1 airline out of 6 major ones in India is seeing profits. So anyone thinking of doing CPL in the future should think twice, its estimated that there are over 10 000 unemployed CPL holders and many more thousands still doing training or in the process of conversion. Its sad but that is the fact.

Angry NEED SOME SERIOUS LIFE ADVICE

Hello all ,

My problem is simple. I'm 25, FAA cpl holder, Indian citizen, NO education degree dropped out after 10+2 . currently jobless. I love planes and all things flying . Need some serious advice from those who've been here done this far better /or far worse

How do i go about my life from here on , with the current market scenario looks like I'm not going to be hired before the end of time . the world ending looks more likely than me getting a job. I've cleared met and regs have nav and rtr left .
Im open to any sugestions be itdoing a cfi on an m1/f1 visa to slogging it out here on indian terrain.

Frustrated Wannabe Pilot.

The problem is that no one can give you information that's right for you. We can only tell you what would do in similar circumstances.

That said, I'd think long and hard before spending money on a CFI qualification. It would help you enormously to build your skill and perhaps impress the people taking your interview, but remember that over here that
1. Few airlines are hiring abinitio.
2. There will be more stages (such as a written exam, GD) before the interview and sim check where the majority will get knocked out.
3. Are there CFI jobs available if you get the rating ?

I would consider getting a type rating (yes..boo hiss) if funds aren't a big issue. Otherwise, I'd do what the guy above me suggested and consider a college education.

Type rating in the present scenario will be an absolute waste.

A-320 - Only IndiGo is currently hiring and the process is even tougher than non type rated.Consider in the last exam 158 people were in the writtens and only 8 cleared the interview. GoAir , KFA and IA/AI are not even considering any 320 type rated hires right now. By far right now the 320 rating is the worst of the two to get.

737 - 9W recently conducted a type rated exam and candidates were being knocked out by the wholesome in the GD's. Like IndiGo less than 10% have a chance of making it past the interview. As for spicejet aka jugaadjet unless you have big time contacts there is almost no hope. AIX the other 737 operator comes out for vacancies but most of them are filled up by candidates who have jugaad and contacts.

In short it is far better to apply as a fresher as against a type rating where if you don't get a job within a year you have to do expensive recurrent training. If you have the opportunity to work in the US or even India as a CFI DO IT ! You can get a lot of experience and in the interview stage your 1000+ hours will be a huge asset to you vs the rest of the 250hr crowd.

I really dont know . It could be a either for the Times of India group or the owner of the aircraft has requested complete privacy and did not even reveal an address or email .
The applications might just be collected by the Times of India and sent to the employer .

Its a private aircraft thats for sure . Could be a turboprop or a jet .

This method of recruitment is typical for private aircraft owners

Quikjet Cargo is looking for an expression of interest from ATR 72 type rated pilots . Naturally preference will go to type rated and experienced pilots ( KFA pilots for eg )

But if you are type rated or know who someone who is type rated and looking for a job let them know

Career at QUIKJET Cargo Airlines Pvt. Ltd.

P.S : This could be an old advertisement and positions might already be filled
They already have an ATR 72 registered in their name and another one is on its way
