I work for Virgin on the Airbus. I am dual 330/340. It is certainly busy at the moment but my roster is stable. I do not believe that it is any where near as bad as described a few posts up

Saying a year 1 FO will gross around 85k is imo misleading. Yes by the time you add pension contributions & downroute subsistence allowances it will get to that amount but you won't see the pension...

I applied a few weeks ago with a rating and hours on the NG and haven't heard a dicky bird

Would be a bit unlike them to pass up on rated folk in preferance...

Not that I work for them or like them but why not try getting a job with FR, they only need 100 hours to go in as a FO.

Also with your other hours you may be able to get a quick command

I went to OAT to do the pre APP integrated course...

I went to OAT to do the pre APP integrated course and it was really very good. I finished and went off to CTC to do a 737 type rating and it was also very good.

as said above the course with accom costs about...

as said above the course with accom costs about the 6.7K mark. It may have changed a bit now. If you wanted to sort out your own accom it cost less, about 1K from what I remember.

I've done both the MCC and JOC courses at oxford...

I've done both the MCC and JOC courses at oxford and found them both to be top notch. The instructors were all ex jet crew to the best of my knowledge and were both friendly and helpful.
