Do I have the wrong type?

Hi All,

I am rated on the 737 with a few hundred hours on type and a couple of thousand turbo prop hours and have been looking at all the agencies for a job, but there must be 30 plus jobs for Bus drivers and nothing for the 737, this has been the same for months, why is this, seeing that the 737 is suppose to be the Ford Cortina of the sky?.

Just asking.

Cheers

True, all the contracts right now seems to be on the Airbus. But don't panic (yet!!!), I think in February or March you'll see the agencies looking for B737 drivers again.

touch&go, well if the B737 is meant to be the Cortina of the skies, then ask yourself, just how many Cortinas do you see on the roads these days?!!!!

Take a look around, the A320 is where it's at. The 73 is indeed like the Cortina - past its heyday.
Apart from FR, I can't think of many other operators in Europe actually buying the 737. And many/most 73 operators are replacing it with the 320.
That said, plenty of them still left so I wouldn't panic.

Not that I work for them or like them but why not try getting a job with FR, they only need 100 hours to go in as a FO.

Also with your other hours you may be able to get a quick command
