possibly this has already been asked, but I really don't have time to go throught the over-300-posts about CTC scheme.
Well, I will be quick:
Thomsonfly signed a training agreement with FTE Jerez
Thomas Cook signed a training agreement with OAT
Easyjet looks for 1500 hrs to recruit F/O
What are the possiblity to find a job for a low hour pilot after the CTC AQC course?
Any recent direct experience?

Answer
I always got told that reading through boring NOTAMS and manuals etc would make me a better pilot. Wonder if reading through previous posts would make you a better job seeker ?
The rest of us Brits have to work hard to find out what we want to know especially when its a UK related question about UK airlines !

Be careful not to p1ss off fellow wannabees by saying you can't be bothered or don't have time etc etc..
Irrespective of who has signed what, if you get through the CTC AQC course you WILL get a GOOD job.
There is a shortage of decent pilots at the moment and even though you will have minimal experience, the fact that you are a CTC cadet will stand you in excellent stead.

blueb0y79, I am flying twice or three times a day and I can use the internet just a couple of minutes between the flights or the route planning.
I do read NOTAMS, instead of spending my day in front of the PC. Perhaps if I had time I'd read all the posts, but fortunately I don't (because I am too busy flying) and there are really nice persons around to help me.
So please, instead of trying to beat any record answering my question in 14 minutes... try to be more kind, or go reading the NOTAMS.

I did the CTC course and got a job and so did everybody else that passed on my course.
Barring some downturn in the aviation industry, if you pass the AQC course, you will get a job.

Jees, some of you guys are stuck up!!!
Seeing it too much these days where someone posts for a bit of help and doesnt get it.........I'm getting a bit tired of askin quyestions myself!!!!
My own personal opinion is that i disagree with the CTC scheme entirley. I know from experience that an airline like to see you have been through an approved selection process and CTC pretty much is just that!!!
On thw whole your CV will be alot more attractive with the CTC crap on it and therefore your chances of getting a job are vastly improved!!!

hello, another couple of questions. just got info pack off ctc for the aqc, it ommits a couple of things i would like to know 1) how much is it? 2) how often are courses held 3)what is the time between selection on each stage?

This is how long it took me.
Sent application form.
Waiting to see if selected for stage 2: 5 months.
Waiting for stage 3: 1 month.
Waiting for AQC course:4 months.
In holding pool: Less than a month.
The course was about £6,700 including 21 nights in a hotel.
I didn't have an MCC before the course, so wouldn't have lost too much money if I hadn't passed.
Only one person on the course failed and he did have an MCC already, so it was very pricey for him.

I did the CTC AQC course earlier this year and passed it. I was told a week later that I was through and then 5 minutes later I was offered a jet job with one of the best carriers in the UK.
I realise that others will have a different opinion on CTC to me but I think that if you can get in as a low hours guy there are few better oppertunities going.

as said above the course with accom costs about the 6.7K mark. It may have changed a bit now. If you wanted to sort out your own accom it cost less, about 1K from what I remember.
