Everyone to their own opinion. The bits of Australia I find boring are the ribbon development stretches of a highway section that just spring up with pre-fabricated concrete walled unitized fast food takeaway outlets, or motels, or used car yards all in a row. Can see them in any tourist area or the suburbs of any large city. Reminds me of the words of the song that go, "and they're all made out of ticky-tacky, and they all look just the same".

Taylor Speedstar

J3, it was a Taylor Speedstar - an Aerostar with a 800HP Garrett up front. It was quite remiss of me to not take a pic of the signboard , but this thing had a swag of mods. Couldn't find much info about it except this:

Falco
180 knots and aerobatic
Have coveted one of these wooden wonders for 40 years, but never had the time or patience to build.

Cheers Plow!

And FB, I love that part of the world, was just stirring. If I could still work there and get paid what I do now, I'd never leave! River Heads is one of my favorite spots on the planet...

Anyway, Maryborough, as I learnt last night, has the record for the worlds largest pub crawl. Was thinking I would participate in it this year. Who's with me?

Know that feeling about work, in this game. Consider it one of the best regions climate wise though, especially at this time of the year.

If you like the Falco then take a look at this...

The Furio....much easier to build than the Falco and an all round better aircraft...check out http://www.falcomposite.com/

J3 is she still hanging out in the current owners hangar? There was talk of getting her airborne again, did anything come of it?

Slacko!!!

How are ya!

Yes the Furio.... They would make a great military trainer

I know a bloke in Sydney who would love to build one....Maybe when I do not have the need for 4 seats....could be a lot of fun!

Last pic.....Retard Vehicle -6

I think it will be a nice full scale model in a hangar forever.

J3 - maybe i'll relent - might get a bit short with some, from the comments i've seen in these fora tho.. If it's important enough i'm sure the genuine would find a way. John will get the prints taken from the old slides - he must have some old ones himself already.
Nice to see those quality fotos of the warbird trainers from last weekend posted here.
