A new hobby - water sports
My family and friends think that I am obsessed with aviation. They were relieved to hear that I was interested in the sea. So we went Sailing in the Whitsundays. However I had to get my aviation fix...
We tethered ourselves in out dinghy off the back of our yacht. The seaplane pilot landed behind us and taxied up to the dinghy and we all climbed aboard. We then had a great trip around the Whitsundays.
Thanks Guys

'Tis indeed a shame to see so many 'historic' aircrfaft types just b e g g i n g for someone with lotsa $$'s and a not-so-small donation from the USAF or where-ever to see some of them back in the air....purely for historical purposes and the sheer joy of it..!

That be the 'Big Bad' Convair B-36 'Peacemaker' of the USAF operated 1949 -1959 - had 10 engines - 6 P&W radials and the 4 GE turbos under the wings.
Google it for the full story.

Ah, Radials!
The things you could do with your mates on a sunny afternoon in the days before ASICs and tiger tape [sigh]. Assuming you could find someone with a car and the Old Man let you borrow his camera.
Don't you wish all planes had a hatch in the belly to climb in through? And radials!

Great Pic Doc.
Speaking of Straddie - A couple of Humpbacks on their way north this morning.
The wrecks off Tangalooma.
And a bit of fun.
Note : Strange, the pics were showing up on my machine when loaded through windows live, but the address was a https:// instead of a http://
Would this mean its not listed as public in windows live and showed up because I was logged in etc??
