I see Cessna have seen the light and introduced a new model for 2010..... it looks rather familiar too

Why did they connect a set of wheels to some flaps with toothpicks?

I have heard of the principal that helicopters fly because they are so ugly the earth repels them, but I didn't know it applied to fixed wing as well.
