Is it just me or are these beasts a little ugly? (all 3 of them!)

Yeah, horrible ugly things, get 'em out of here. Much prefer a 30+ year old Duchess with 15K hours and original Collins radios.

you think the're ugly....you should take a peek at the diesel ones....truely a face not even a mother could love!!! but quite a good wee aircraft on the whole.

Is that VH ATZ at the back about to begin its ferry, after the demise of Airlines of Tasmania ? There cant be many Do228,s left in OZ now do GAM still have any ?

Re the Dornier, would say you are right. It usually parked there as it was too heavy to go anywhere else on the apron.

Is "retract arrestor hook" usually in the F-18 pre-takeoff checklist?

Close Peuce that is the arrester hook but not on take-off

Hey Wanderin'

I think you were close enough with the first sentence to win the goldfish.

It had an engine failure and returned to Williamtown with arrester hook down & cable on the runway up. Landed safely with no further issues.

Mayhem then insued while they tried to get the cable down and aircraft holding (hawk formations & a poor Pelican JS32 mxiing it in as well)
