Sorry, can't link directly.
Airstrip Explorer
Type 'Hidden Splendor' into the search box
Then select the 'video' tab when you get there.
Another interesting one is 'Half Moon Bar'

FTDK - love your posts. Being a desk jockey these days it's great to have some contact with the real world.
Seems you landed downwind in the last post if you can believe the sock. Can you recall the wind speed at the time or was it too light to matter?
Cheers

Yes, I did land downwind. I had a very good reason for doing so, which I can't go into here.
The wind was not such that it was an issue on that strip - which I have been landing on for 30+ years.

PS: Looked it up in ERSA did you 185SW? Heard anything from the Sloshkosh crew?

No Doc, I have been past it from that angle a bit further out.
Whilst i haven't landed there, I do recognise the hangar/building layout.
I haven't heard from the airbums.

The Oshkosh "crew" haven't arrived yet, should be there 4pm local time tomorrow (Monday) just in time for the "Chicago" concert (those old enough would know who they are).
My crew went via NZ, WAY TOO FAR via NZ to LAX, don't do it!
Am yet to spot an A380 at LAX they seem to be few and far between.
