Meanwhile in Russia: Professor Dmitry Evstafiev claimed that life in Germany has gotten so bad that everyday Germans want to invade Russia, so they can rob and kill Russians.

Evstafiev argued that Germans haven't changed in the last 80 years.…

Ukraine, Moldova signed deal to build bridge across the Dniester River near Ukraine's Yampil and Moldova's Cosăuţi

The bridge will provide the shortest route between central Ukraine and Central/Southeast Europe, bypassing Russian-occupied Transnistria.

Well they should be careful if they do. I mean they might miss their own fleeing soldier and end up accidentally wounding someone from the other side

But... is this correct??? I thought he was a vegan, tee totaler former arts student.... with a bit of a beef (soy beef) about inferior races. Surely a man of his "stature" would not speak such things that are so obviously projections of his own actions, something that seems to be on the rise.

It's interesting how every (most) times we see Putin he has a glass of whatever in his right hand. Hmmm.

So, will they try and take Tokmak or by-pass it?

They will already have cut off the vital road and rail links the Russians need to supply the troops in Kherson and Crimea, so no need to burn troops in urban fighting when they can press on to the coast.

And b6 all reports these are just still shaping operations - they haven’t committed their heavy armour units yet - and Russia has used up over 90% of their reserves already…..

Russian military sources claim Ukrainian Armed Forces are approaching Tokmak, last major settlement 63km north of Melitopol, and Volnovakha, last major settlement 65km north of Mariupol. Squeeze of Berdyansk on the coast expected and Russian units will be encircled on both sides.

Russian Defence Minister Shoigu's recent bid to control the Wagner Group is reportedly motivated by Russian elites aiming to stop Wagner boss Yevgeny Prigozhin becoming a player in future turmoil. Meanwhile, an apparent leak accuses Wagner of massive theft of military fuel. ⬇️

Major exaggeration there, presumably to raise the heat on Wagner. The quantities listed only amount to one - or perhaps two small - rail-tankers.

Looking at that map it appears Ukraine could already cut the supply line through Melitopol - and thus supplies to Crimea - as the distance from Orikhiv is 80 km which is the maximum Himars range. That would however mean bringing the Himars launchers right up to the front, which may well be deemed too dangerous, unless there is some strategic stationary link - such as a bridge - that they could target in a shoot-and-scoot manoeuvre.

It really would be excellent if the GLSDB supplies could arrive now so that UKA could hammer that supply route: hopefully we will be surprised by news of many explosions between 50 km and 80 km behind the front, some morning in the near future.

A U.S. defense official has stated that the White House will announce a new $325M aid package for Ukraine sometime tomorrow with the aims of replacing the at least 18 M2A2 Bradley IFVs and an unknown number of Stryker AFVs that the Ukrainian Armed Forces have lost so far during their ongoing offensive in the Zaporizhzhia and Donetsk regions.

The Package will also reportedly include additional replacement NASAMS and HIMARS missiles.
