Yes, this guy is suspicious but I can imagine that Russian recruiters may lie to their prospects and offering such amounts of money can be very tempting for the poorest Africans. Putin needs bodies. Many bodies.

The problem is Challenger is fighting a mobile war, they were never designed for that, they were designed to fight hull down against advancing armour, their strength being in the upper armour and longer range gun.

Ukraine having the same problem with Abrams and Chally as the Germans did in the same region with the Tiger 1 (and to a lesser degree with the Panther) and why the T-34 had a huge advantage over the terrain over there, outside of a small window after the summer sun had dried everything out.

No. Armour is used to fight armour but is vulnerable to attacks by infantry with ATGW. Which is why armour is always accompanied by troops in IFV to protect their flanks.

I f the enemy isn’t using tanks themselves it better just to use artillery and mortars rather than endanger your own tanks which aren’t equipped with anti-personnel rounds.

This kind of rankles, the USA sort of giving Ukraine permission to attack Crimea to regain their OWN territory.
