Another account has been published of Russia's disastrous attempt to seize Vuhledar last month using poorly trained and equipped mobilised soldiers. One man says only three out of his unit of 300 survived, having been sent to fight with "bare hands". ⬇️

Presumably that is Prigozhin planning to invade Belgorod; its not going to be the Ukrainians, they are too adept at the politics to risk their support for a nonsense ploy.

No, the Ukrainians would head up through Belarus, link up with the Finn’s and Swede’s, then sweep right taking out St Petersburg and threatening Moscow from the North

meanwhile an oldie and why she sticks to studios..

Remember those dragged into this and suffering the consequences to feed the world.

On video, the guy repeats "This is the price of sowing season!" in between swearing.

China's Xi Invites Ex Soviet Republics Of Central Asia For Summit

China's Xi Jinping this week invited the leaders of the ex-Soviet republics of Central Asia to a first joint summit in China, a bid to boost Beijing's influence in Russia's backyard.

The Chinese president extended the offer to the "first China-Central Asia summit", scheduled for May, in similar telegrams sent on Monday and Tuesday to the leaders of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan and made public by the recipients.

Reclusive Turkmenistan, the top supplier of gas to China, has not yet announced whether it has been invited to the gathering.…

Vladimir Putin 'signs deal to move tactical nuclear weapons to Belarus

'
Vladimir Putin has signed a deal to station tactical nuclear weapons in Belarus, according to Russian news agency Tass.

Ten aircraft capable of carrying the armaments have reportedly already been moved there. A storage facility for the weapons themselves will be built by 1 July.

"We agreed with [Belarusian President Alexander] Lukashenko that we would place tactical nuclear weapons in Belarus without violating the non-proliferation regime," Mr Putin said.

Mr Putin claimed it would not violate nuclear non-proliferation agreements, as the US already has such weapons stationed in Europe, reports Tass.

The US has an estimated 100 nuclear warheads at air bases on the continent, including in Germany, the Netherlands, and Turkey, according to the Centre for Arms Control and Non-Proliferation…

ORAC; maybe Putin should read Chapter three of Neville Shute's book, "On the Beach", published I think in 1957. Almost a playbook for China's ambitions today.

Divide and conquer…sounds like a clever plan by the Chinese. Send messages of support to Putrid in Moscow while undermining support for him in the East. Forward planning by them is for decades ahead. Forward planning in “The West” is “What’s for Lunch.”

They should be seriously worried about Mongolia and Siberia as the Chinese percent of the population grows. The precedent Russia has set for the Donbass so to speak…

Yup, go to Moscow on the pretext of cooperation and a peace plan while really sounding out Russia’s strength and current abilities to wage war, then head home to rubber stamp your plans.

It says store weapons here.
Why does it feel like Russia is attempting to retain some of its nuclear capability in an “ independent” Country to protect it, it almost sounds like their actual nuclear capabilities are equal to their supposed effective tank reserves, ie built on bluff, hence lots of we will and no credible effectiveness, it’s almost as if the rest of the Russian military, the world’s greatest bluff, is a paper army and nuclear power.

hmmm, the NPT that Lord Vlad tore up recently or some other one? Not sure if it makes any difference other than an irritation as his federation appears to be disintegrating and realigning to China, which gives China a nice buffer, could lead to voluntary union of parts of the east of the fed that once were Chinese, and leaves the federation of Russia to include Moscow and St Pete's... just about right sized for he remaining T34s and AN-2's. At that point moving stuff to his mates to turf from the departing states probably is a least worst case, even with Lookalikea starting to be wary of drafts around windows in his own workers paradise.

In the end, with a bit of planning, Lord Vlad will end up with a feifdom about the size of Dunny on the Wold, that imports oil and gas to the rich n' famous who remain to be his lackeys, from the states that don't have to worry about his "army, no more" and his abuse of the citizens of those states outside of Vlad's wold.

Destroying the Russian forces in both credibility and capability at the same time is a neat trick, well done, Vlad.

If that scenario is far fetched, with the ramifications it come along with, consider that the last time Vlads feat of arms had top cover in competency, was when the fleet sailed to Port Arthur, invoking diplomatic crises through incompetence on the way over, while losing substantial parts of the fleet, before its wholesale destruction at the battle of the straits of Tsushima, at the hands of a tiny foe at that time, Japan. Port Arthur is now firmly part of China, as could the whole eastern seaboard of the current Russian federation be, the ones that just buried a generation of their young that Vlad saw fit to fertilise sunflower crops with.

Winner? china gets a new bunch of friends, and an opportunity to mitigate the damage that their recent rhetoric has compounded, Taiwan goes off center stage, it is less of a gain to China than Vladivostok and the east of Russia would be without firing a shot. Lowering rhetoric on Taiwan may just save the Chinese economy.

Aviation Content: ? I got nutin'.

Lukashenko can always sell those later to Ukraine, in part for the reparations of the attacks that they permitted from their sovereign soil by their mates. There doesn't seem to be a discussion yet on that, but a bill for damages for everything in the west of Ukraine, which includes an aviation content item, the airport at Kiev, and the AN224 etc, and being an accomplice through their enablement of the crimes at Bucha, aiding and abetting a felony, etc... Yeah, someday Lukashenko will have his opportunity to see a court for what happened in February 2022, and for all of the events since then when he has permitted a sovereign country to be attacked, and innocent people to be murdered through his being an accomplice to those attacks. That seems a simple set of dots to join, as simple as the pizza shaped chalk outline on a dirty pavement that would be a high probability of being a meme when Lord Vlad gets booted out of Ukraine.

Would you buy a pre-owned Russian warhead from Lukashenko? It feel that may be somewhat of a bear market.

Thinking of repatriations and the damage done to the agricultural land. I was thinking that Russia should be made to pay to restore the land and also provide wheat at the cost to Ukrainian farmers to produce or pay them their profits.

Well, maybe listen to the responsive and articulate answers to questions. It's obvious the British government is thinking about things; the discussion re Chinese influence and Russia becoming the subservient partner was interesting. Yes, Putin bit off more than he could chew - nuclear threats are just trial balloons asking for a bite. If Europe and NATO continue to support Ukraine and supply more long range weapons, which they will do, Russia will lose more than the war, they will lose the Federation to China.
