Vladimir Putin 'signs deal to move tactical nuclear weapons to Belarus
'Vladimir Putin has signed a deal to station tactical nuclear weapons in Belarus, according to Russian news agency Tass.
Ten aircraft capable of carrying the armaments have reportedly already been moved there. A storage facility for the weapons themselves will be built by 1 July.
"We agreed with [Belarusian President Alexander] Lukashenko that we would place tactical nuclear weapons in Belarus without violating the non-proliferation regime," Mr Putin said.
Mr Putin claimed it would not violate nuclear non-proliferation agreements, as the US already has such weapons stationed in Europe, reports Tass.
The US has an estimated 100 nuclear warheads at air bases on the continent, including in Germany, the Netherlands, and Turkey, according to the Centre for Arms Control and Non-Proliferation…

Why does it feel like Russia is attempting to retain some of its nuclear capability in an “ independent” Country to protect it, it almost sounds like their actual nuclear capabilities are equal to their supposed effective tank reserves, ie built on bluff, hence lots of we will and no credible effectiveness, it’s almost as if the rest of the Russian military, the world’s greatest bluff, is a paper army and nuclear power.

In the end, with a bit of planning, Lord Vlad will end up with a feifdom about the size of Dunny on the Wold, that imports oil and gas to the rich n' famous who remain to be his lackeys, from the states that don't have to worry about his "army, no more" and his abuse of the citizens of those states outside of Vlad's wold.
Destroying the Russian forces in both credibility and capability at the same time is a neat trick, well done, Vlad.
If that scenario is far fetched, with the ramifications it come along with, consider that the last time Vlads feat of arms had top cover in competency, was when the fleet sailed to Port Arthur, invoking diplomatic crises through incompetence on the way over, while losing substantial parts of the fleet, before its wholesale destruction at the battle of the straits of Tsushima, at the hands of a tiny foe at that time, Japan. Port Arthur is now firmly part of China, as could the whole eastern seaboard of the current Russian federation be, the ones that just buried a generation of their young that Vlad saw fit to fertilise sunflower crops with.
Winner? china gets a new bunch of friends, and an opportunity to mitigate the damage that their recent rhetoric has compounded, Taiwan goes off center stage, it is less of a gain to China than Vladivostok and the east of Russia would be without firing a shot. Lowering rhetoric on Taiwan may just save the Chinese economy.

Thinking of repatriations and the damage done to the agricultural land. I was thinking that Russia should be made to pay to restore the land and also provide wheat at the cost to Ukrainian farmers to produce or pay them their profits.
Well, maybe listen to the responsive and articulate answers to questions. It's obvious the British government is thinking about things; the discussion re Chinese influence and Russia becoming the subservient partner was interesting. Yes, Putin bit off more than he could chew - nuclear threats are just trial balloons asking for a bite. If Europe and NATO continue to support Ukraine and supply more long range weapons, which they will do, Russia will lose more than the war, they will lose the Federation to China.
