Sounds like the very definition of insanity…..
Its only insanity when it is your head that is being battered against the brick wall repeatedly on the premise of a change of outcome. Bashing someone else's head is Putins and Darth Vaders game, and follows tradition of sociopathic leaders. Including Lord Farquard. Donkey, whereforartthou?

Beags,

Nope - so much ill informed garbage flying about as it is. I only bother noting the official MoD statements.
Did you hang upon every word of those "Official MoD Statements leading up to the Second Iraq War and believe what they. had to say?

All those years later when your Troops were in Afghanistan and you were told the War was being won.....did you believe the Official Reports then ?

The same Noddy's that lied to us all along are still telling us rubbish.

Your Cupboard is bare, you cannot train enough pilots, you have shrunk your manning and equipment levels to where there are more troops on Ceremonial Duties than are combat ready (maybe a bit of exaggeration with the last bit) but you get my drift.

General Milley and our group of political Generals are talking bollocks daily and our own readiness is suffering along with all sorts of other genius decisions by our President and his string pullers are working to undermine us yet.

Tell me why we should believe your MoD or the US Pentagon for anything they say?

Are you going to lookt back over time and point out all of the times they got it right.....that should not take very long.

Pointing out how they got it wrong will take a very long time and take up lots of bandwidth.

Milley, genius he is, allowed the Afghanistan evacuation decision to cause that debacle, he claim the Russians would defeat the Ukraine in days if not a week or two and publicly stated he would warn our adversaries if we were going to take offensive action against them so it would not be a surprise.

I am supposed to trust that kind of military leader?

Excuse me....I got wrapped up in a war of attrition due to the same kind of military geniuses during the Vietnam War and almost wound up being a cipher on the tally board.

I don't trust any of the SOB's. No War has ever been fought for the reasons given to the people.....as there were always causes that government kept hidden away.

Nothing different today either.

Explain to us what the Strategy that NATO and its members have set forth for the conduct of NATO forces and nations re the Ukraine War?

Can you articulate that for us?

What is the strategy and goals for this latest European War?

Surely that is a question best addressed to the man who started the war - unless you subscribe to the notion that Putin was deliberately provoked through NATO expansion.

And isn't that argument a little like the lawyer for the defence in a rape case who says, "well my defendant was provoked. The so called victim was wearing a short skirt and lipstick. She was just asking for it. My client had to rape her."

So, Russia are trying to worm their way into Moldova. The country won't benefit for one minute but the population is too poor and too desperate to realize that. The only thing Russia want from "helping" Moldova is another front from which to attack Odesa. High time for European leaders to get their act together once and for all.

A possible fly in Russia ambitions is the amount of Moldovians that now hold Romanian passports, could we see Romania coming to the aid of Modova if trouble starts flaring.

https://balkaninsight.com/2021/05/27...ian-passports/

One out of every four Moldavans now has Romanian citizenship, and the proportion could rise by the end of 2021 to a third of the total population, according to official statistics.

The number of Moldovans with Romanian citizenship has increased steadily over the last 20 years, and has reached 642,149 people out of a total of 2.7 million inhabitants.

The figures come from Romania’s Justice Ministry, which says 786,546 Moldovans have so far requested citizenship of Romania, of which about 144,434 applications were waiting to be resolved by the end of 2020.

A Romanian parliamentarian, Stefan Iulian Lorincz, told BIRN that he asked the ministry for the exact number of applications because there were so many.

“In February, we had a discussion with the Minister of Justice as we wanted to see how we can unblock the queues at the National Authority for Citizenship,” he told BIRN. He added that one problem there is understaffing.

“I want to get some official data before I produce a more extensive report on this issue. It is a problem that I hear often, and I receive daily messages daily from Moldova on this matter. I’m trying to see now how we can unblock this situation,” he added.

Most Moldovans speak Romanian and are ethnically similar to Romanians. Moldova formed part of the kingdom of Romania between the two world wars, after which it was annexed by the Soviet Union.

The recent pandemic slowed down the passport application rate by 80 per cent, primarily due to movement restrictions between Romania and Moldova. Only 17,549 citizenship applications were submitted to Romania in 2020. However, Romania continued to process earlier applications from Moldovans for citizenship over this period – 66,158 in total.

After the Soviet Union annexed Moldova in the 1940s, Moldovans lost their right to Romanian citizenship. But Romanian law permits them to regain it now, which explains the high number. There is an important economic gain for impoverished Moldovans in getting a Romanian passport, as Romania is far richer than Moldova and is a member of the European Union.

Bombshell audio recording indicates Prigozhin is unable to solve any issues with ammunition for Wagner.

This morning, Prigozhin's mouthpiece channel posted a 7-minute recording of him saying that he is forced to "apologise and obey" to get ammunition.

Resorting to near-yelling, Prigozhin declares he is aware the Russian MoD has enough ammunition produced but doesn't understand where the limits are coming from. It appears that no recent attempts to raise ammo have worked and Wagner is cut off from supply completely.

Prigozhin blames the people "upstairs" for sending their children on holidays in Dubai, meanwhile Russian soldiers are "dying in trenches for their motherland".

Nutty, I think that most Moldovans not already living in Romania will abandon their country and make a dash for Romania. I can't see Romania getting into a fight on their own with Russia over Moldova. Other European countries will have to support them and Moldova. And so the conflict will escalate further.

Pretty much sums up how much credence to take of his views!
In a 28 year career he made it to Colonel. Hardly a Stella career for someone so vocal.
I note Roger Waters has popped his head up again today, blaming NATO yada yada yada...
These idiots should be publicly ridiculed.

In other news, the MoD has stated that the Russian offensive started about 3 weeks ago and the media hype suggested the Ukrainians are in for an onslaught.
In those 3 weeks the Russians have captured 2 or 3 villages, so its going well for them.

Meanwhile the Ukrainians are being re-armed and re-supplied for what will likely be a push that will hopefully rout the Russians and lead to the downfall of Puts and his henchmen.
That day can't come soon enough and I like the fact that His Majesties Army is helping add weight to the Ukrainian foot on Putin's throat.

I just wondered if Romania would come to Moldovas aid and put troops as peace keepers in the country at Moldovas request if the trouble is caused by "civilian dissenters," that then changes the whole format.

New Moldovan prime minister wants Russian troops gone.

Russia targets Netherlands' North Sea infrastructure, says Dutch intelligence agency

THE HAGUE, Feb 20 (Reuters) - Russia has in recent months tried to gain intelligence to sabotage critical infrastructure in the Dutch part of the North Sea, Dutch military intelligence agency MIVD said on Monday.

A Russian ship has been detected at an offshore wind farm in the North Sea as it tried to map out energy infrastructure, MIVD head General Jan Swillens said at a news conference.

The vessel was escorted out of the North Sea by Dutch marine and coast guard ships before any sabotage effort could become successful, he added…..

Dutch intelligence agencies MIVD and AIVD, in a joint report published on Monday, said critical offshore infrastructure such as internet cables, gas pipes and windmill farms had become the target of Russian sabotage activities.

"Russia is secretly charting this infrastructure and is undertaking activities which indicate preparations for disruption and sabotage", the agencies said.

Covert threats by Russia to water and energy supplies in the Netherlands were also conceivable, they added.

The Netherlands said on Saturday it would expel an undisclosed number of Russian diplomats as it accused Russia of continuously bringing in spies under diplomatic cover.…

Strange thing he speaks Russian without even slightest Ukrainian accent which is a bit unusual. Артём Коваленко sounds as a pure Russian name. But anyhow if Russians broke through defences and they were encircled and attacked from behind it is not surprising that they surrendered. Seems like green inexperienced unit to me.

"Ramzan #Kadyrov stated that he wants to create his own PMC after the end of the state service Earlier, ISW wrote that Kadyrov, rejected the offer of Prigozhin to join the information campaign against the Russian Defense Ministry, to restore Prigozhin's weakening influence."

I don't understand this. There is, AFAIK, a Chechen army which he controls absolutely, so what advantage is there in setting up a "private army " ? Easier to dispatch it overseas as a pure money-making operation ?
