BBC News online as I write .................. very little on the war
Define "very little", they have a continuously updated "live" page on the Ukraine....

There appears to be 2 versions of the BBC news, depending on where you are viewing it from.
Outside the UK, coverage of the war and problems in China and Iran are prominent.
the cynic in me may think there is a UK government agenda there, while , if viewed in the UK, local news and sport is more prominent .
I view their website in several countries during my travels and the tailoring of news is quite obvious, however, i am still a fan.

I wouldn't say there's any conspiracy. Outside the UK there is greater emphasis on World news, while inside the UK there is greater emphasis on UK news though the World news is all still there if you want it.

I do try to keep it topical on here as I firmly believe it is the most important event in the last 30 years that has the potential to effect all our lives, the lives of those in the poorer countries and destroy our planet.. It also appears the rest of the world, Iran, Turkey, China, North Korea, the Balkan States etc are using it as and excuse to sabre rattle in the background while a lot of the world attention is on Russia.
The world and its security is teetering on an edge, something a year ago was unthinkable.

The Russian bear needs it's teeth pulling so peace can resume and famines in Africa can be averted.

Which is exactly what you'd expect to see. The presentation is tailored to the expected recipients, but nothing is hidden.

Pulling the teeth of the Russian military will prevent famine in Africa?

I get the defeat of Russian military aggression and ensuring the production and export of food crops from Ukraine will see Africans will have a better supply of grains, etc.

If the West deals harshly with iaggressive War by Russia......then perhaps the Chinese will take notice along with the usual malcontents in the Middle East.

The bear needs the thorn removed from the Kremlin I'd wager. 6th floor windows are effective for that malaise.

This is a pivotal crisis, arguably mores than 9/11 or the rest of the events since 1 Sept 39. The West and the spineless UN set up this calamity, which otherwise would have just been a disaster. An assumption that there is any reasonable negotiated peace that does not result in Russia being removed from their neighbours land is to disregard over a millennium of Russian history that shows recidivist deceit in their agreements, they are worthless, other than as sanitary wipes. The Russian population is still being sold the lie that Ukraine is attacking Russia, in spite of the evidence in front of their own lyin' eyes of the incontrovertible fact that Russian military are not dying in Russia, Ukrainian army is not inside Russia, and that Russia instigated this special goat recipe all of their very own lonesome self. This war is Vlad's, the incompetence is a 1,000 years of corruption, and the Russian public own the system that is bringing on the loss of a critical generation for their long term survival as a country. At least they can always adopt North Koreans, except that the nationalists of pink skin in Moscow and St Pete's are not so fond of Eurasians.

Global stability is in question at present, brought into focus by Vlad's ill considered spring break. Vlad has renewed NATO as an association, expanding the same, shown their own lack of competency and poor performing munitions, and generally acted to mess up the rice bowls of just on 8 billion people.

'xelent effort. What happens now, and what arises from the ashes will determine the next 50 years of our collective futures. It has certainly shown that the defence force structures need to have a rethink about force composition, response time to a crisis, and to collective defence. It also shows that the UN has outlived it's mandate, lacking a spine or the moral fortitude to apply their own rules in Article 27(3), those in the UN need to be put in stocks or have the cone of shame wrapped around their worthless necks.

The USA remains, for better or worse, the nearest thing to a moderating force for global stability. That arises from their remaining industrial base that we have bagged for decades, but which remains capable of remarkable resilient accommodation to shocks. China is in it's own crisis that has been a long time coming and which strongly suggests that the concept of an autocratic leader has some strategic limitations, being as good as one person who cannot be given a reality check does not appear to be a brilliant form of governance, it makes the wet lady with the rusty dagger ascending from the pond look positively progressive. Democracy sucks, but it sure beats the odds of the alternatives.

30 Slovak BMP1s were donated to Ukraine. In exchange Germany will deliver Leopard 2A4 MBTs to Slovakia.

A book was published a few days ago. "A Message From Ukraine", by Volodymyr Zelensky. His personal selection from his speeches from May 2019 to the present. An inspiring read. It's available from the usual river site, and at least 60p per copy will go to United24, his initiative to collect donations in support of Ukraine. See u24.gov.ua

I have no personal involvement in this, merely an individual who supports the values of freedom. "Slavi Ukraini"

NATO chief says ‘door is open’ to Ukraine (msn.com)

NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg on Tuesday said the “door is open” to admitting Ukraine into the security alliance and that the country would one day be a member.Stoltenberg reaffirmed the commitment to bringing Ukraine into the Western alliance and said Russian President Vladimir Putin would also have to contend with Finland and Sweden soon joining NATO after both countries applied in the wake of Russia’s late February invasion of Ukraine.

“President Putin cannot deny sovereign nations to make their own sovereign decisions that are not a threat to Russia,” Stoltenberg said in comments ahead of a NATO foreign ministers meeting in Bucharest, Romania. “I think what he’s afraid of is democracy and freedom, and that’s the main challenge for him.”

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced he would apply for NATO membership in late September with the hope to fast-track the application process amid the ongoing war with Russia.

Ukraine is unlikely to be admitted anytime soon. Stoltenberg said last month that all 30 members of the alliance must approve and reach a consensus, while the main priority for NATO at the moment was providing support for Ukraine’s war effort.
Finland and Sweden are waiting on just two nations to ratify membership. Along with Ukraine, all three countries will have representatives in Romania this week.

The meeting of foreign ministers in Romania is likely to result in new funding for Ukraine as the war heads into the winter months.

Russia has pounded Ukrainian infrastructure, including energy grids, with missile strikes as it seeks to knock out power in cities across the country. NATO could announce additional nonlethal support for the nation, including generators and medical supplies.

Stoltenberg on Tuesday said, “We must prevent President Putin from winning.”

“We are all paying a price for Russia’s war against Ukraine,” he said. “But the price we pay is in money, while the price Ukrainians pay is a price paid in blood.”

The Associated Press contributed to this report.

Most people in the west will misunderstand and underestimate the significance of this.
This is part of something big.

Or it might just be a target for a hypersonic missile. (That's if Vlad is feeling desperate).
Or they'll discuss something like this

PAYBACK: On 22 NOV a Russian S-300 missile targeted a maternity ward in Vilniansk, killing a two-day-old and injuring the mother. Partisans identified the launch site near Tokmak: it was destroyed by UKR precision strike, killing the RU crew responsible.
