Caption Competition Mk II
The officer having made the effort to clamber under the wing to proudly show off his orders to the men to paint 'Thank You NHS' was miffed to find 'Kilroy Was Ere' instead
note feel free to add a one liner of your choice but no Latin please, as i am thick. ..

Why are we banging on the underside of this marine aircraft?
To remind the Numpty in the cockpit the Queen only can handle vertical, the last numpty did a crosswind trap to find there wasn't one, nor was there a lump sticking out the other side to land on..

As always, your dedication to service has been exemplary, so award yourselves a socially-distanced pat on the back while I announce the results of the voting jury.
As always there are some Honourable mentions:
Chu Chu: Did you use the 5-minute epoxy, or the 1-hour kind?
Out Of Trim: These new Grab Handles are great to stop being blown away by "Jet Blast!"
Penny Washers: "Well, if you still can't reach the pilot's watch, we're gonna have to cut the whole plane up."
In third place is Traffic_Is_Er_Was: Sarge shows off his strength to the new guys by demonstrating how he alone can push forwards with one hand just as hard as the two of them can push the aircraft backwards with one each, so that the aircraft does not move. They do not know what chocks are for.
In second place is MPN11: "OK, Marines, that's VTOL training complete. Next Drill is Arrested Deck Landings ... hold this cable, Marine Schultz ... "
And to prolong the agony, as an Arthur C. Clarke fan I particularly liked the post-deadline entry from Kiltrash: As they touched the strange monolith at Area 51 they were heard to say '"My god it's Full of Stars "
But first prize must go to c52, who did a magnificent job of channeling Joyce Grenfell: Now, children, all the cheerful crabs wave one claw around in the air and - GEORGE, I can see you even if you're hiding your face.
And that completes the voting. Huzzahs all round, and well done to c52 who will even now be scurrying to find something to put up for the next competition. Over to you.

To try to persuade everybody that it has so many aircraft the RAF buys some motorkarts to show that they are needed to get from one end of the flightline to the other.

"Hah! Never mind those photos from Oman of low flying Jags over the flightline. They can't get much lower than this!"
