The sign says "Learn to fly here". I already know how to fly to lots of places. What is so special about flying to there? I tried to fly there, and there was a bloody tree in the way. Obviously the lessons must be about where the gaps are so you can get to there.

THIS IS NOT A CAPTION - NOR A SIGN OF PARTICULAR FAVOUR

Traffic_Is_Er_Was (#35488),

Forgive the interjection - but couldn't resist:
...Obviously the lessons must be about where the gaps are so you can get to there...
No, that's the job of Air Traffic Control !

(This one's "going like a house on fire" - Last Orders ca. 1800 GMT 15th May - otherwise too big to judge fairly)....

What do you expect if you teach Dogs to fly ... they simply park their 'business' in a tree (big dogs that is)

Daily Mail Exclusive: Why the Head of the Royal Military College of Camouflage lost his job.

==============

"You may call it eco-friendly aviation, but to me it's just a waste of a perfectly good plane."

Go-around power, or park brake on. For God's sake, make a decision.

Judgment Day.

This choice has been an agonising one, with so many (56) excellent Captions coming in. But with a heavy heart, I've narrowed it down to a short list of nine of almost equal merit (IMHO), and now pronounce as follows:

In third postiton on the grid, Stanwell, for his quiet, droll entry:

"Well .. OK, Smythe - Mags off, fuel off.
Now, I want you to come with me .. we've a number of forms that will need to be filled out
".

Proxime Accessit is Traffic_Is_Er_Was , for his timely:

"The missing Arrow from the previous Caption is found":... (well, it is/was an "Arrow", wasn't it ?)

But the one which really "tickled my funny bone" was from NutLoose with:

"Look mate, I clearly stated on my eBay ad that I had a bush plane for sale and that there are no refunds on your winning bid"

Step forward, NutLoose, and receive the Laurel Wreath !

Danny.
